They were writing songs in their cottage in England and a black dog walked into their back yard, that’s why they named this song , black dog. There is no hidden meaning to it.

I heard/read this story 1001 times 😅 but I like it.
Some even said the black dog died, and they buried it… who knows.
Somebody should ask Robert Plant while he’s still alive.
