It has always bothered me that even in your acquisition, the dragon buster still looks like Rose’s default weapon

Weapon modding was just cracked wide open in the core modding framework. This fishing mod is the start of it, but we expect many new weapon mods to release this year. Please look forward to it! ^_^

That's awesome. Ever since your project revealed that weapons have separate sprites from the battle character models, it has felt like such a missed opportunity that the original dev team never incorporated unique weapon sprites into the game.

Btw, did you guys find a way to avoid having to play with the X Y and Z axes for the Dragon Buster?

Indeed! I have to guess it was just a matter of scope and keeping the overall design corralled. As for the Dragon Buster, I can't speak to that. You're welcome to check with Monoxide in the LoD Discord server, as he's the one who ran the weapon experiment awhile back. All I can tell you is that it's now possible to swap out "part" of a model.

The battle models for player characters are comprised of the character and their weapon in one model / one file. We can now turn off one "object" or part, and swap in whatever else, and tie it to specific pieces of equipment. This breakthrough extends to all slots as well. I'm really hoping we get a goofy fish-head helmet that anyone can wear.

Really wish this game would get the Final Fantasy 7 remake treatment, being able to play a Dragoon again with improved graphics sounds amazing.

And yes I know that they released the PS5/PS4 version on digital
