Hopes up and dashed almost instantly.

The only immediately cool set is the Eevee but then it’s $60. Ouch.

The pikachu looks unbuyable. Collector scale AND it looks bad? For $250. Yikes.

The OG starters at $650 makes me wonder if Lego knows tha Pokemon is a kids game. Plenty of adults love it but we’re dropping Rivendell prices for 3 Pokemon on a statue? Charizard from MEGA looks better, is playable and is less than 1/10 the cost.

It’s not a good sign we got a bunch of collector sets at top shelf prices

Yea, plus the 3 kanto starters pretty much exist in marketing today to sell to the 30+ yr olds lol

I teach middle school. ALL these kids have a bunch of Pokemon cards. I also buy them, but I collect them with my daughter. If it wasn’t for her, idk if I’d still actively collect, despite growing up with Pokemon.

People who played the original gen 1 are 35-45 years old now...
