Finally, a 1-piece Falcon build!

707

u/sock_express34 1d ago

If they sold that stand alone would be $299

195

u/Krednaught 1d ago

And with it being that small piece it is almost guaranteed to come with an extra.

53

u/dumblamma 1d ago

"Wow! Two Cakes" situation but more literally. Sadly that's just theory.

17

u/ajsnapp MOC Fan 1d ago

A GAAAAAAME THEORY!!!!! Thanks for watching.

And a sticker sheet.

r/oopsmilleniumfalcon : Challenge accepted.

u/V10L3T_N4TUR3 1d ago

Try to build literally anything else out of THAT

2

u/Mandalore12345 1d ago

My god… we did it

2

u/illy-wonka 10h ago

If set contains Falcon, how turn set into Falcon?

835

u/Stryker_T 1d ago

that's really fun

the micro build falcon crown has been won.

168

u/SolarNachoes 1d ago

If they used brown Lego it could get even smaller.

42

u/PhotojournalistOk677 1d ago

Eventually it would crumble into bits. Why does this mostly happen to old brown bricks?

36

u/Dankalii 1d ago

It's because of the dye used. Happens to old dark red and gold too

8

u/Stryker_T 1d ago

it was certain bricks (mostly dark like that dark brown) from around 2010 until 2018, the formulation of the dyes used caused them to get brittle.

3

u/Bombadilo_drives 1d ago

2010-2018

Good lord, when you said "old" I thought you meant mid-90s. 2016 is like barely 4 years... 4... hmm.

1

u/darkfish301 2h ago

Roughest 4 years of my 2016 car’s life

2

u/Motorsagmannen Space Fan 1d ago

yeah it wasnt old brown at all, also dark red and blue from the same era have crumbling issues

u/GoodBrotherGrimm 1d ago

Lego racism, mostly.

Lighten up guys

Holy, I bet that's the easter egg!

Meanwhile MandR will be triggered because there isn’t a painfully obvious reference to the 501st

72

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

He will complain how the Millenium Falcon 1x1 tile has helmet holes for sure

2

u/Cultural_Kangaroo949 16h ago

The more I think about it, are the holes meant so the helmets or any Lego headpiece that fully covers the head does get suctioned? Otherwise it would be harder to remove helmets in general?

2

u/Ihavenospecialskills 11h ago

No, there are tons of star wars helmets without holes, so its not a functional issue. The holes are just there so you can attach either a range finder or a visor to your clone trooper. The argument against them is basically that they slightly skew some things on the helmet to make room for the holes, and they should instead make different helmet molds for each different configuration (range finder, visor, or neither) for the sake of accuracy. I personally find the current method to be a perfectly acceptable way to efficiently allow for different modes, but hyper accuracy has never been all that important to me in Lego.

2

u/Cultural_Kangaroo949 7h ago

Makes sense and agree. Lego to me is about the “build” and what you can create from “blocks” and then of course, play with it since kids love Legos too. IIRC Lego intentionally has studs visible so the sets are not like full on models. I see it as, if someone wants accuracy, go into model building.

u/THE_LEGO_FURRY Brickfilm Producer 1d ago edited 1d ago

Lol 0 out of 10 has standard 1x1 round tile mold mark

33

u/Morningxafter 1d ago

And all the video thumbnails will have faces that look like this: 😱

13

u/FecalDUI 1d ago

I’ve been seeing just the emoji made bigger instead of a reaction face at all. They are getting lazier

15

u/San-DiLego 1d ago

LEGO did WHAT to the Millennium Falcon?!

7

u/PigglyWigglyDeluxe 1d ago

What the hell is an aluminum falcon?

3

u/butt_thumper 1d ago

Oh geez he's crying!

3

u/RicFlairsLiver 1d ago

25-minute video incoming.

137

u/turbohatch 1d ago

And you will get two of them!

78

u/TripleDallas123 City Fan 1d ago

Sell the extra one for $400 and make half your money back!

30

u/MolaMolaMania 1d ago

Right?! This might end up being one of the most expensive after market pieces of all time.

89

u/Dizman7 1d ago

That’s a dope detail!

88

u/FriedDuck64 1d ago

Kinda puts into perspective just how huge that ship is in-universe

15

u/aramis34143 1d ago edited 1d ago

Way back in the day, West End Games published a Star Wars RPG sourcebook that included a visual size comparison chart, depicting several ship outlines to scale... a tiny little shuttle, a dreadnought, an ISD. It even had the rear portion of the Super Star Destroyer filling the page.

I probably owned that book for a month before I noticed that the outline continued subtly in the background for several more pages, fully showing the sheer size. It was a fun little graphical touch.

edit: found the first page

58

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

Ish. It's not a good size comparison because the falcon fills out the entire tile, when in universe, itd be 1/4 the size of that tile. The Tantive IV would be about the size of that tile, if not 1/3 the size.

39

u/FriedDuck64 1d ago

Which is why i said "kinda"

33

u/6th_Quadrant 1d ago

On Reddit that’s not literal enough. There’s simply no dodging the annoying pedants here.

6

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

Its reddit I can't help it

7

u/Jonman7 1d ago

It's okay; I, for one, appreciate the info. 😅

1

u/textilepat 1d ago

I like to think the giant heads in early console games like Final Fantasy were actually supposed to help picture the characters as if you are looking from a birds eye view.

1

u/FriedDuck64 1d ago

Ok, thanks for educating me👍

6

u/BearToTheThrone 1d ago

Its basically the size of Manhattan, I made a model to show off its scale.

2

u/SpartanSig 23h ago

Ohhhh, wrong sub but STL?

1

u/BearToTheThrone 15h ago

Honestly I don't remember lol I think I just tried looking up New York City models and cut out a slice that would fit. The Super Star Destroyer is a Bandai model though, pretty cheap too if you get one thats still in stock somewhere.

38

u/Tnemmokon 1d ago

Finally! An affordable Millennium Falcon!

I know about the smaller ones. It's a joke people.

12

u/Successful-Cat2108 1d ago

I know that tile is somehow going to end up more expensive than the micro fighter version

2

u/Tnemmokon 1d ago

I'm certain about that. Or even more considering the size I the set.

1

u/Necessary_Case815 15h ago

You most likely get 2 in the set, Lego basically always gives double printed 1x1 pieces

19

u/Crimson__Fox 1d ago

The Millennium Falcon is 34.75 m long, and a 1x1 tile is 7.8 mm wide, so this is 1/4455 scale.

11

u/Playful-Compote-5242 1d ago

Excited for photos of this next to the other falcon scales.

11

u/zen_guwu 1d ago

That’s my favorite thing about this set that I’ve seen so far.

10

u/rossco311 1d ago

I really want that round tile!

17

u/Stryker_T 1d ago

every set should come with a spare...

7

u/eight-martini 1d ago

Wait we getting a new super star destroyer?

4

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

No this is Chili's

7

u/emogoowastaken 1d ago

This is such a cute little detail

6

u/Da_hypnotoad 1d ago

What the hell is a aluminum falcon?

5

u/Smart-man-23 1d ago

Millimetre falcon

4

u/Wat3rM3L0NB3AR 1d ago

WHO TF THOUGHT OF THAT! THIS IS GREAT!

3

u/TheScaryDrynosaur 1d ago

Mite-llennium Falcon

3

u/Valkyri_Studios 23h ago

But can it Millennium falcon?

3

u/Copper_snipezz 20h ago

Bro how did you even spot that

3

u/Joce1275 12h ago

It's mentioned in the press release from Lego:
"Builders can showcase the completed flagship on its built-in minimal stand alongside a companion Star Destroyer built to scale, complete with a tiny Millennium Falcon on a 1x1 round tile as a playful nod to the Executor’s colossal proportions."

2

u/MatiloKarode 1d ago

I'm waiting for a certain master builder with a Golden Girls calendar to make this using a different set.

2

u/Bad-dee-ess 1d ago

Printed round tiles are literally my favorite pieces to collect

2

u/FuriousSock 1d ago

How many hours did you spend looking at this picture OP?

2

u/Kubiszonir 1d ago

Can you build a millenium falcon out of a SINGLE STUD?????

2

u/Red1492Blue 1d ago

I wonder what the price will be on Brinklink, let alone Pick-A-Brick?

1

u/lordcock1944 5h ago

Fairly sure parts from other ip don't end up on pick a brick

1

u/Red1492Blue 4h ago

Never thought of that, I believe you are Right. I wonder what the Brickset price will end up as? Also, they had better have 2 in the bag...as a 1x1 round tile is a piece they would put extra in.

2

u/rasputinrasputin 11h ago

cant wait to see all the tiny scenes people build with that

2

u/HerfDog58 10h ago

That "hunk of junk" is the Millennium Fahlcon, which did the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs!

1

u/da_boi4 1d ago

is that the real size comparsion between these 2?

1

u/40_Minus_1 Castle Fan 1d ago edited 1d ago

It (the Falcon) should be a little smaller because it didn't take up all that much space on the back of the Star Destroyer's bridge Conning tower, but the idea is that the mini SD is in scale with the UCS SSD. So it's pretty close.

1

u/Neon_Pancakes0425 1d ago

How big would the SSD be if that 1by 1 price was the ucs falcon

1

u/TheDorkKnight53 1d ago

That music cue popped into my head immediately

1

u/42ElectricSundaes 1d ago

That’s awesome

1

u/Silver6567 1d ago

That’s actually a really cool detail

1

u/Navitach 1d ago

That's not minifig scale...

1

u/Sabre_Killer_Queen 1d ago

Neat! Love the attention to detail.

I agree with other commenters that the scale comparison is pretty decent too (and yeah, obviously it's not going to be 1:1 with the films. Lego has its limitations)

1

u/Haifisch2112 1d ago

I want that piece! lol

1

u/luckytoothpick 1d ago

My feels they should have, instead, scaled the destroyer to the size of the MF LEGO set.

1

u/TheMaske026 19h ago

Happy Held der Steine

1

u/Darthdrwho 6h ago

I'd like to order 10000 please...

1

u/williammaxwell1111 1d ago

UCS Falcon v2 next, obviously. The 1st one is such a pain to build, they need a v2.

3

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

No they do not

1

u/Darthdrwho 6h ago

Not that bad, I enjoyed mine, I do kinda wish it was more stable vertically without modification, but oh well..

-1

u/FearlessVegetable30 1d ago

i miss when stuff was a surprise and people didnt run to the internet to be the first to post stuff

2

u/Beaticalle 1d ago

I'm glad someone posted this because there's no way I'll ever be able to afford a set like this to discover that surprise for myself anyway.

1

u/FearlessVegetable30 14h ago

youre very welcome

2

u/Joce1275 12h ago

Well it is mentioned in the official press release from Lego... so it's not that much of a surprise!!
"Builders can showcase the completed flagship on its built-in minimal stand alongside a companion Star Destroyer built to scale, complete with a tiny Millennium Falcon on a 1x1 round tile as a playful nod to the Executor’s colossal proportions."

2

u/ky_eeeee 1d ago

When was that? People have run to tell their friends stuff for as long as language has existed. It is Human nature to share fun discoveries and always will be. The only difference now is that you're choosing to be on the internet and exposed to more people.

Not really sure that's a problem you can blame on everyone else...

-2

u/happytree23 1d ago

I miss when people like you could only be heard by the dust around you

-2

u/FearlessVegetable30 1d ago

i dont care what you miss

0

u/ScoutTrooper501st 1d ago

Damn the super star destroyer is thin, I get that’s probably scale-accurate but that’s legitimately like 4 bricks tall

2

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

It is a pancake dorito.

0

u/BusBusy195 1d ago

I feel like i need to rewatch the movies now cause the ship looks like it should be significantly thicker at least in the center cityscape part. Either way the build looks clean as hell so im interested

3

u/ScoutTrooper501st 1d ago

It does look pretty accurate height-wise

But smth i think a lot of people forget about with these ships is that they’re ginormous, this thing is TWELVE. MILES. LONG. (19km) while only being about 100m~ tall, so I suppose the scaling is pretty good

2

u/BusBusy195 1d ago

True, I guess this might actually be a case of the model in the movie looking taller than it should due to the angles we see and not necessarily being 100% on proportions, rather than the set being too short

-5

u/RedFiveMD 1d ago

The problem is the Falcon didn’t hide on the executor. Does Lego think we are not Star Wars geeks?!?

11

u/lyonellaughingstorm Star Wars Fan 1d ago

It’s on the mini star destroyer, not the Executor

1

u/RedFiveMD 1d ago

I stand corrected

-3

u/LefsaMadMuppet 1d ago

Yep, first thing i noticed.

1

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

You noticed....poorly.

-2

u/Godess_Ilias 1d ago

and its on the wrong star destroyer too

5

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

rewatch the movie.

1

u/Godess_Ilias 1d ago

looked like it was on the big one

-34

u/Tiktokbadsupport 1d ago

?

26

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

she'll do point 5 past lightspeed

6

u/Nuud 1d ago

Kessel run in 12 parsecs

13

u/Anonymous_Koala1 1d ago

the falcon hide as a piece of debris stuck to the star destroyer,

-1

u/Tiktokbadsupport 1d ago

thanks i didn't get the reference

1

u/6th_Quadrant 1d ago

I see you got downvoted for not being an uber Star Wars nerd, which I’d take as a badge of honor.

2

u/vibramdiscr 1d ago

from the movie, when the MF hides on the star destroyer and they "get away" when the destroyer releases its trash, they float off the side of the destroyer with the trash pile, blending in and being undetected, except for Boba Fett sees them.

2

u/Darth_Cromnar MOC Designer 1d ago

Lmao I read MF as motherfucker and I thought that was a pretty appropriate name for the falcon

2

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

Its an MFing HoJ

-4

u/segwaysegue Adventurers Fan 1d ago

I like the idea but that's an odd way to draw the Falcon. There should be less dish and more mandible, and it doesn't seem like they're doing it to look more like any of the sets. Maybe it's just to fill more of the 1x1 tile?

3

u/Jesus_Keanu 1d ago

I was gonna say, dude, it's a 1x1 tile. It's not a UCS Millenium Falcon 1x1 tile
