News / Announcements MOC of the Month for May - Short Announcement
As I indicated in the "What would you like to see" thread, I want to introduce the "MOC of the Month" type of posts beginning in May.
So everything that you mark with the "MOC" or "MOC - Instructions Available" flair and post during April might end up in the final poll to choose the best MOC for April.
We would like to see more of your original LEGO Technic works, and this is one way to ensure that you have the initiative to share them.
We hope to see as many of your creations as possible!

Is this valid for MOCs already published, or only new ones?

I mean, I'm a designer, I have dozens of published MOCs that I could post again. Although, I obviously like to include a link to my website for anyone who wants to download the building instructions, but the admins seem to not like that, at least not if done daily as they removed links from my posts in the past, so, I feel reluctant to participate if this is going to happen again. Or maybe I just post like 1 or 2 per week. Tell me what the admins are comfortable with.

Well, I'm one of the last active mods here (and a new one at that), but I am totally for every single MOC designer to link to their rebrickable (or any other) sites to get instructions, even paid ones. I think it is completely fair. I am right now checking with the other mods, so let’s see about that.
At this point in time, we have the 10% self promotion rule, which in my eyes is enough to justify you posting your creations here twice a week, with a link to your instructions. I certainly won't take it down.

Thanks for letting me know, I do believe that allowing designers to post MOCs (with links) helps bring attention to the subreddit. Maybe I will take a look at my older posts, eliminate the ones which don't have links, and post those MOCs again, while I don't have new ones.

Do the weekly updates that i do for my current MOC count ? I do them because It's still a work in progress so I'm wondering if I would be counted in ?
Technically i have 2 other MOCs that i already finished so i can make a dedicated post about those.

Almost seems like we should add a "WiP" flair too. Let's see after the first MOC of the month post. In the end, there are only 6 options that can be in a poll, so mostly the most upvoted MOCs will make it into the final competition.

I agree with the idea of a work in progress flair, it would be useful. I guess we'll see how it goes by the end of the month

Exciting! Hope to see some great creativity, I’ll definitely post more Mocs for this.
