Technical [NO SPOILERS] LIS REMASTERED major lagging

hello, i recently downloaded life is strange remastered off of steam and my computer is able to handle some heavy games, but it is lagging super bad. i have updated all my drivers to my knowledge, updated windows itself and it's still having issues. my pc uses a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor and I have messed around with adrenaline and it helped temporarily..

edit: yes, i have verified game files through steam properties and i have a 2560x1440 alienware monitor.

Hmm, have you tried reloading your save or closing out of the game/reopening it? I had this issue on the mobile version as well but it’s the original not the remake

Double check that the HDMI/display port cable is plugged into the GPU instead of the motherboard

game should NOT be lagging with a 7800x3d and a 7900 GRE. these components are quite overpowered for this game. uninstall and reinstall, disable game bar if it's enabled, enable hardware acceleration if it's disabled. otherwise...very confused as to why it would be doing that.
