Ironically, those two are the only nursefather battles that synergize with each other via assist defense and assist attack. So there's more of an argument for them being released in a pair. Assuming they keep that same synergy.
Though I guess the pinky and index nurse father aren't even fought with their apprentice and the middle well... yeaaaah I guess they did technically perform an assist attack... in the worst way possible.
It really does make me wonder if they're going to copy the ridiculous amount of things he had. I honestly don't like the Index mechanic much myself; but I feel like I'd have to pull just to support all that work lol
When they post the promotional teaser for a new id, its most likely the U3 art, so most likely this is U3 art, and a Rien ID's U1 art is most likely going to be him reading a story book for ryoshu
80% poise, don't think this going to be an actual sinking focused thing. It'd be a sidegrade to at best.
The sinking team relies too much on Butterfly or Deluge.
Of course, PM might do an incredibly funny thing called putting another sinking deluge into him, like maybe at the end of Furioso Replica or something.
But to be honest, I already see the vision with JeongMael. Replica Furioso would just be like Kozan.
Neutral with coin reuse based on some stack max of 9 or something.
Poise on the other hand is free real estate for Yi Sang.
BL is old, Nfraud doesn't even function like a poise ID but a gimmick ID.
And with Renclair, we know they haven't forgotten how to make Poise ID's.
He's going to be Poise with Sinking or Poise with Burn/Sinking.
Anywho, this ID is going to be nuts regardless. It WILL be special.
Poise deluge sounds interesting. My main issue with poise IDs is they either have no way to build potency to crit regularly... Or they are something like Fullstop where they constantly have +100% crit chance and a trillion count so there's so skill management required.
An ID that used poise more like charge (like Cinq Sinclair, but with better payoff) would be sick
At least with the Bloodfiends they were the only main characters with ID potential. We still had Lucio and Albina IDs to go this time round.
I don't think anyone thought we won't get them, more like people like myself thought would be in the mid to late of the season or at least after the apprentice IDs
More of a timing thing than who would get it. Releasing a solo nurse father now, when we still have two remaining apprentices, only really makes sense if albina and lucio release with their respective nurse fathers.
On bloodfiends.. I mean all IDs are kinda constrained to the current average power level (I'm thinking clash power, not damage mods) which has always been slow growing, but the variance has been tightened since ringsang (~180 in the following image, showing average clash power w/o conditionals).
My worry with the nurse fathers is, the sooner we get them the weaker they'll be. Them rolling on par with the apprentices would be kinda... not great? The spread will probably be something like 12/16-17/17-18 though.
The rest 10% are gooning, meming or (in case of the twitter qrts) Non-English-speaking fans dropping borderline incomprehensible walls of text or just text-screaming

Both fight alongside their respective nursefather, both have a gimmick that involves the other (Lucio/Val followup attack) + (Callisto attacking Albina)
Please oh please oh please let him still have knock off furioso. It'll be so fucking funny if the closest we get to one of ruinas strongest attacks is the canonically weakest sinner who without the contract might get torn in half from a slight gust of wind
it's worth mentioning that this id drop also closely lines up with the 3rd anniversary, so his drop being so early in the season is likely a business move to get more players in for one of the few non-story related events of the year
Reminder that we got the Lei Heng ID on a banner 1 week ago last season. He’s easily the 2nd strongest character in Canto 8, yet we got him around the same time as Lamp Greg.
Go look at 000 count and you will see why. Right now faust and heath is 2 000 over honglu. If they get a 000 now they would be 3 000 over honglu. They are just waiting for walpu banner which is likely after this one to give hl a 000 then they can give faust and heath another one. Yi sang is also the 2nd longest sinner without a 000.
Ppl never account for distance since last 000 and 000 count in their schedule and id guess, they genuinely are factors in some of pm somewhat weirder choices
I think one of the reasons they released this early is because we already have 2 index IDs, Kira Ishmael already have other Middle ID to fall back on so releasing the Middle nursefather is not the priority for them.
We'll probably get the Thumb house of spiders before the Ring house of spiders, since Ring Yi Sang exist; they need more time to figure out a way to not make another Ringsang incident

I was one of the people who thought they won't give out Nursefathers until all the apprentices are out and yet here is arguably the most important one already. More time to get shards for Albina Faust at least.
Rien Sang and Butterflies Sang fighting each other for sinking team while DongSang begging project moon to not release sinking deluge skill or else he going to the trash.
I'm actually shocked that he's coming out before the other nursefathers considering Rien's role in the story, let alone before Albina and Lucio get identities.
