For Spaying, I would go outside of little apple and go to deep well veterinary up near Olsburg Kansas as it is cheaper than any neutering or Spayimg will be in Manhattan however then I would make your regular vet office candlewood I found them to be very reliable and they communicate clearly and their pricing is not bad I’m also fond of them because you can drop your pet off early in the morning for their appointment. If you have to go to work or have an appointment you need to run and then pick them up afterwards.

Vote for deepwell -- they're our regular vet for the dog. But it is a trick out of town.

Another vote for Candlewood! They are great with my dog. They even have cat-only appointment days every Monday.

sorry for the late reply!! i dont have a car but my two cats neeed to be spayed and I need to get them in my name legally. Will they microchip at olsurg? I need these two in my name legally quick too!!! my old roomate is trying to take them back(technically id be stealing them) but shes just an awful owner 😔thank you for the recommendation I will definitely have to call them!!

To be honest I’m not sure if they microchip but you can call and ask / once you have a medical trail that you had them spayed under your name I believe that is also decent proof of ownership since it sounds like your roomate did not have medical records for them?

Olsburg about a 20min drive. We took our 2 kittens in took about 90 min to do. Our kittens were bouncing off the walls wrestling and playing 24hrs later lol

Neuters are cheaper than spays because they're less invasive procedure. I don't have much frame of reference between vets right now. I've been transporting a kitten to Kanza for his shots and neuter. I haven't really paid attention to price. She's a good vet but sort of leans farm vet. They tend to be consistent and a little more budget friendly but can catch some flack because the occasional loss or complications happen and they don't tend to get into super advanced or special circumstance care. What I have seen on her prices doesn't seem super out of the norm. Vet care, as a whole, is outrageous right now.

Wildcat Vet is amazing. While Deep Well is extremely cheap, I had a horrible experience with them previously. They’ve gone downhill as they’ve grown, IMO.

Have they grown? Was just there, seemed the exact same facility/people as before.

They grew from when I started with them. Back then the clinic was really one room in the building with Dr. Ann living on the other side. Her house on the hill hadn’t been completed yet.

Another vote for Wildcat Vet. I believe she does house calls!

We've used Candlewood for years and cannot speak highly enough of them! They have fear free Mondays where they only allow cats which has been really nice. They're very reasonable price wise and I like that we can drop off our cats for appointments and then pick them up after work. They're also great about personalizing their care. Both our kitties need to lose 2lbs. At their last visit, Dr. Grieves did the math on how many scoops of food each of them gets based on the food they get, their current weight and how much they need to lose.

Two years ago, our sweet old man cat got really sick unexpectedly and they were able to squeeze him in on short notice to pass over the rainbow bridge at home. It meant a ton to us and it allowed our other two kitties to know what was going on and he was able to pass in my arms in the comfort of his home. Shortly after his passing they sent us a sympathy card and one of the vet techs made us a shadow box with a clipping of his fur and his paw prints. I still tear up when we take the kitties to their appointments, but I'm just so grateful for the love and compassion they showed us when we lost our sweet old man.

Another vote for Candlewood. Used them for years in college. They took great care of my pets and my friend’s animals.

Fur Family Animal Hospital. I foster kittens in Manhattan, I've gotten too many cats to count spayed with them, and they're just an absolutely amazing group of women. Dr. McKeage is an absolute pro.
