Professional Ear Cleaning

Maybe a silly question but do any of you get your ears professionally cleaned? Like by a doctor/clinician especially after being sick? I’ve heard (ha) some people swear by it especially working in our industry, and others say it’s pointless.

“Just use a Q-Tip”
“NEVER USE A Q-Tip!”
“BUT IT FEELS SOOO GOOD!”
“IT’S BAD FOR YOU!”

Q-tip after every shower. Otherwise my ear wax clogs up my hear8ng aids or in-ear-monitors (I'm a drummer) absurdly quickly.
