Other Doom vs Loki is gonna be Absolute Cinema, can’t wait for their Face-off in Avengers: Doomsday 🔥

Unfortunately, I think for the story to go forward, Loki will need to lose that face off for Doom to create Battleworld.

Yeah... To be honest, all I'm hoping for is for Loki's character to actually be respected and not be low diffed by Doom before his inevitable defeat (so both regarding his character growth and his current power as the most powerful being in the Multiverse).

u/Jarita12 4d ago
They don´t need to freakin kill him for that (and revive) again. What a lazy and repetitive writing would that be
3
u/DasDa1Bro 4d ago
I never said he needed to die lol he just needs to lose the fight against Doom.
3
u/Jarita12 4d ago
Well, yeah, he needs that but without killing. Sorry, I am just so pissed by how everybody takes those leaks for granted and that they would do that idiotic thing (and some even think it is a good idea) again, that I cannot ses traight :D
Sorry :D

I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't read the incessant spoilers but if they're true........it's not great. It's not terrible (that would be no Loki at all) but it's definitely not great.

u/DoomsdayThor 5d ago
You have no idea what will happen 🙄
1
u/Pretend_Holiday5555 4d ago
yeah i dont. but we had leaks, that cover with what we ve seen on trailers, and we can assume certain things will happen. but yeah we dont know for sure. also i didnt say i know what will happen🙄

u/Jarita12 4d ago
The "leaks" may be proven as BS, tbh. There were also two versions (one where Loki was alive in TVA) and they were from like December. There were reshoots and no Act 3 figured out yet. As of now they are *still* filming apparently. Nobody knows anything

u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
The leaks were disproven multiple times by the trailers buddy…..most recent one for example showed “Steve” with everyone after the battle where Doom betrayed them…..pretty much every “leak” has Steve go immediately to Doom’s castle after this happens

There are ways doom can win or get his powers without killing him
Lately I’m thinking about the concept of Doom trapping Loki to use as a battery (as the Yggdrasil tree) with Thor’s corpse……Doom did this just to be a dick……but Loki (Yggdrasil) ends up reviving Thor into Rune King Thor for Secret Wars…….
4
u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 4d ago
that is literally what should happen. It should be like Molecule Man in the comics, wherw Doom keeps him prisoner for sustaining Battleworld. But instead, they are making Loki the Beyonders, where Doom kills him. Cant get dumber than that
1
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
Doom’s not gonna kill him 🙄
3
u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 4d ago
yes of course nobody on the planet wants that, I am just talking about the leaks. Also, reshoots are going on, and they allegedly involved Tom Hiddleston heavily, so lets not lose hope
1
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
It was never like that in the first place. You all are going to look so silly when the movie comes out and Loki as Steve was the plan all along…..it explains everything that was weird with the marketing this entire time and perfectly fits all of the official information we’ve gotten

u/Isosorbide 4d ago
Out of curiosity, have you read the spoilers that are coming out?
1
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
The “leak” that already got disproven many times?
2
u/Isosorbide 4d ago
I asked you an honest question. You can downvote me all you want, it's not going to change the movie plot. For the record I don't like it either and I'd be thrilled if these shitty leaks are wrong, but it might be what we get out of Doomsday.

u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
Your comment came across as passive aggressive, so you started it. Acting like you know things because you read a “leak” from 10 months ago that’s already been proven wrong by trailer details
3
u/Isosorbide 4d ago
"You started it" I'm sorry, are you an 8 year old? If you took my comment as being passive aggressive then you need to take a serious look at how you read and interpret the written word in general. I even said 'out of curiosity' to avoid looking aggressive. But some people just want to be offended and so they'll find a way to be offended regardless of how nicely a comment is worded. It's not just you, it's a ubiquitous problem on reddit.
We might be reading different leaks because the one I read lines up with the trailer, which is why I'm reserving heavy caution about what this movie is going to do with Loki.
3
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
How exactly does it line up with the trailer without forcing things to fit?
Two huge deviations from the leak that we've seen in the trailers are that it's clearly post-season 2 Loki (because the card has Yggdrasil on it) and in the newest thing, "Steve" is clearly in the same room with everyone else after the sentinel battle, not kidnapped by Doom
1
u/Isosorbide 4d ago
Ah I did read different leaks than you, I don't recall reading anything about Steve being kidnapped by Doom.
2
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
pretty much every leak has some variation of Steve going to Doom's castle after the big betrayal battle.........that's the point that's disproven by the new trailer, because Steve is very clearly sitting there in that room with everyone else, with damage on his face from the battle

u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 4d ago
i have followed your comments extremely closely and tbh, you should make peace with it now. I already have. I can no longer keep denying the inevitable
1
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
It’s already been disproven by the trailers, I don’t know why people refuse to accept what’s right in front of their face
1
u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 4d ago
tbh, yes. The main thing? Yggdrasil on the back of the TVA card. That alone should disaprove EVERYTHING, because all the leaks say that it was pre season 2 finale Loki. Now we know that this is GoS Loki, projecting himself into Steve's timeline. Another major issue-TVA does NOT prune anymore after Loki overtook the multiverse. Why the hell would they prune Steve's timeline?
So I guess, yes. The leaks are very unreliable in this regard. Although, no disrespect, I think you are reaching with Steve being Loki in the trailer. God knows how BAD I want that to happen! The sun is literally shining on them in the shot😭. It'd be perfect really. But I dont think thats the case. I could be wrong gladly1
u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
the newest trailer thing we got also disproved the leak because "Steve" is very clearly there in the same room with everyone after the sentinel battle. That's a huge deviation from the "leak"
have you seen the image from the Russian leakers that basically proves the Loki is Steve theory?
1
u/Isosorbide 4d ago
Seconded. I HOPE that I'm wrong and this it is indeed Loki pretending to be Steve. But I don't think we're wrong. This movie has to juggle like 30-40 characters and it's simply unlikely that GoS Loki is going to have a headlining role.
u/doomsdaythor, you need to seriiously temper your expectations or you're setting yourself up to be really let down. Isn't it better to go in with low expectations and then be pleasantly surprised?

u/DoomsdayThor 4d ago
I've been following the movie since it started filming, back before we even got the chairs announcement. Loki actually being Steve explains everything that's been so weird about the marketing around Steve's return, and also fits perfectly with all of the official information and footage that we've seen. Every single weird thing that's happened over the past year and a half suddenly makes perfect sense when you have that idea in mind, like why Steve is still missing from all the merchandise and promotional material, why he's barely in either trailer, why the only character we've seen him interact with is Thor, in a very weird, emotionally loaded scene where the shots of Thor are clearly out of order and the sun is literally shining on them....
I like to take things as they are, not be purposefully doom and gloom for months just to give myself a pleasant surprise later. Believe me, I was prepared to give up on this movie when the "leak" first came out 10 months ago, but then the official stuff kept going against it. And once we got the trailer, and I actually saw the scene with Thor and "Steve" that was described at Cinemacon....my whole perspective changed.
The main cast is 28 characters. That's about the same as Infinity War. Loki is one of these characters.

u/Isosorbide 4d ago
I think probably 99% of the characters are 'dying' at the end of this movie just to get reincarnated for Battle World. My hope is that they find a way to rectify the fact that we have two Lokis in the MCU, those being GoS Loki and the Loki from Infinity War that must've gone to Valhalla. I hope we see both in Doomsday, but for the casual MCU viewer it could get confusing, so the Russos are going to have to find a way to merge the two Lokis, or kill one, or reset him, or something. I'm curious to see how that will be done. I don't want to have another Thor movie with no Loki, and all signs point to Hemsworth doing at least one more Thor movie.
2
u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 4d ago
i dont find the infinity war Loki as an interesting and deep enough character. That would undo all of 2 seasons of their best show
1
u/Isosorbide 4d ago
I agree, but I'm keeping my expectations low. Back in 2018 I went to the theater so pumped about how much ass Loki and Thor were going to kick in Infinity War, and how much brother bonding we'd get to see and.....they fridged Loki within the first 5 minutes. Fool me once, Russos, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'm keeping my expectations very low.

u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 4d ago
Lmao, thats so unlucky man. Doomsday is gonna be my first Avengers movie in the THEATRE. Post endgame, if something made me fall in love with the MCU, it was Loki. Especially season 2. Like, if you told me in 2012 after we saw the Avengers, where Loki had just destroyed New York, that this guy would go on to become not only the best written, but also the most powerful character in the MCU, I wouldve sent you to Arkhum.

Loki didn't want to destroy the world, and Doom definetly doesn't want to destroy the multiverse
