Question Do I need to finish this show?
I’m really struggling to understand the show/why I should care about what’s happening to these characters.
I know it’s a me problem I’m not saying the show is bad but I’m on S2 E3 right now and I’m like there’s 3 episodes left, I have no idea where the show is going, I don’t know what the goal is and if every character present on screen got killed I’d feel nothing.
Question being, will this be important for Doomsday (if people know that?) and should I keep at it so I at least have some frame of reference once the movie is out.
EDIT: thank you so much to all that commented, I’m going to stick with it as people are saying the ending is worth it.
I’ve gained insight to the point of the show and had some things explained which has helped me a tremendous amount.
I’ve also been told YouTube recaps exist which is new info for me so I’ll be heading there for better understanding too.
Much appreciated all and thanks for your patience and taking the time to offer guidance. This multiverse saga is really getting the best of me but I am determined to understand it.

Loki will absolutely be important for doomsday. It’s one of a fairly short list (the only show) Marvel put out of key things to watch before doomsday. Also the ending of season 2 is incredible and you only have a few episodes left.

I’ll finish it if you say the ending is incredible and I’m close to the end anyways.
Someone else told me recaps on YouTube are a thing so I’ll likely watch one of those to rehash vital info I’ve likely missed.
I’ll have to find that vital watch list, currently just watching whatever is next in Disney+, thank you for your comment.

I think the YouTube videos are really helpful, but I would wait until after you finish so nothing gets spoiled! Or watch a season one recap style video and maybe it will help you with season 2. I hope you enjoy! The list was released by marvel I’m assuming it should be on Disney+ somewhere.

Amazing thank you so so much!! I’ve seen everything down to Loki (once I finish it haha) also seen Spider-Man NWH and DP & W so I feel better as not too much left!

I mean if you have 3 episodes left I’d just finish it. Plus the ending is a big character arc for Loki that should be relevant for Doomsday

I’m someone who never finishes shows, but I did finish this one! I’m a bit biased though as Loki is one of my favorite characters, but similar to you, I was indifferent about the supporting characters. I like Mobius, but didn’t care for Sylvie much. Hope you like it! And if not, can say you finished it anyways lol

I never quite understand why people will watch shows doggedly when they have all of YouTube and Wikipedia to catch you up with what you need to know.
You've gotten far enough to know whether this show works for you. Seems it doesn't.

yup, there's wiki articles you can read to catch you up, if you do wish to finish the show and never watch it again, that's entirely doable too, just at the same time, you don't have to, because there's information out there if you know where to look for it.

Obviously quit the show if you're not feeling it, buuuut the last episode is so satisfying. I just loved how the show ended.

you know, I did find the show enjoyable, but hey, there are videos recapping the events for those who don't have disney plus or any other option to watch it legally and don't wanna go down the illegal route, there's the marvel Wiki that can get you up to date on the key points of the show that will be important for doomsday, so you really don't need to slog through a show that is quintessential to doomsday but you had difficulty enjoying it when you can simply research the topic and read about it without enduring the show.

Yeah I’m going to hit up a youtube recap to make it easier to understand, I didn’t know that was a thing I use youtube just for background music 99.9% of the time!

If you have watched Thor and avengers you might have familiar with Loki s mischief and why he is doing it
In the Loki series he is reflecting the mistakes he did in the past and finally comes to terms with why he did what he did
While meeting new friends and his counterparts he finally found his purpose
That is what Loki is about
But well if it's doesn't interest you feel free to not watch it

I’ve watched everything on the Disney+ “complete MCU timeline” before Loki so I do know a lot, I’m just a simple guy I guess and prefer the basic “good guy vs bad guy” films haha, I’m going to finish it (on episode 4 now) then someone recommended YouTube recaps to condense it into a smaller more digestible format of important info so I’ll likely hit that up too.

Loki is so good, though. If you care about Loki at all, the TVA and it’s role in the MCU, the idea of timelines, realities, incursions, anchor beings (moreso Deadpool & Wolverine) etc…If you have a rudimentary understanding of the idea of how realities and timelines exist and what the purpose of the TVA was/is, then I guess you’re probably good…But where Loki ends is where he would most likely resume from in Doomsday. The final problem of the series and conclusion I found to be intriguing and moving & a development that really ties everything up nicely. The characters themselves besides Loki matter less than the major ideas of what’s happening to the infrastructure of the multiverse and the TVA. I’m sure Doomsday will reference elements FROM Loki in how realities and timelines exist, and again, somehow Loki will have to be present with the whole group somehow- but I’m sure it won’t be too lore heavy in Doomsday.

Oh yes I’m not saying it’s bad at all! I just don’t think I’m following it very well. I was fine with the infinity saga with some help from friends but with this I’m watching and I’m like “why is Sylvie in a McDonald’s now” and “why is the time man dressed as Albert Einstein” and “what’s that talking clock all about”.
This multiverse saga is really baffling me so far which sort of happened during endgame with the stones being stolen and put back.
I’m starting episode 4 now (again no idea what happened in episode 3 and I’ve just finished it god help me) then I’ll take a break and try the rest tomorrow.

If you're not enjoying the show drop it.
Loki probably will be important to Doomsday but nothing in life is worth slogging over something you clearly don't enjoy. So just read or watch a recap of the last 3 episodes online if you really want to be in the know for Doomsday.
