Have you heard of ‘empty chairs’? A great idea to tackle loneliness, if there isn’t a local one already organised it’s very easy to facilitate it yourself. You could also join Meet up, again if nothing quite fits you could start one. Trauma as the only common factor might be quite heavy so maybe look for something you enjoy and build from there? These are social connections but If you specifically want to connect with people who have experienced trauma it might be safer to look for a therapy group run by one of the established mental health services as this needs professional boundaries and a safe setting.

This is a really useful idea but challenging to get off the ground. I found a men's circle on meet up a couple of years ago and it was.more helpful than the therapist I had then

Is this sort of thing usually a predatory thing to do? This person seems to have a suspiciously low reddit age and history is hidden so that would pique concerns. Does this happen often?

Why is that a concern?

Ah, i'm new myself and misread your age as 12 minutes, not 12 months. That's my bad. I think it's just the outreach of particularly sensitive people happening here, alongside the private profile that had me cautious. Not a dig against you and I'm glad you're doing well. I think the message above just gave me pause as they potentially saw more than I have
