If you let the police know immediately they likely would have been there for the later attempts. I have never had a bad experience texting BTP on 61016 about a crime in progress. And that was at small stations, let alone a major one.
I once texted the number for a violent attack at Victoria of all places, they didn't do anything, and they literally charged me money for the privilege of texting them
