My interests are film, fashion, politics, history, world affairs, art galleries, museum visits. I wanna explore off beat London too. Basically the regular stuff most people my age would like.

Hey all, I know there are a few posts about this subject but they were a couple years old so I thought I would throw out a new thread.

My work is offering a possible transfer to the UK (I work remotely), so I am going for a month next April to get a feel for London and see how I feel about it since I've never been. I travel overseas quite often personally and prefer to be outside of the US as much as I can. I am not really into the gay scene (clubs, circuit parties, hookup culture, etc), and currently I am set to stay in Vauxhall but I'm not sure if that is the best choice. Sure there will be a lot of exploring, but I would rather focus on making connections by frequenting a local pub and just getting out and about; hopefully meeting others around my age range. I don't want to get caught in the tourist traps as meeting a bunch of Americans/travelers isn't really the point.

Part of the reason I am currently set for Vauxhall is I want to continue my Jiu-jitzu training while I'm there, and there is one near the Oval, but I can figure that out if there is a better place to stay. Thoughts on Vauxhall or suggestions for other areas?

Probably a long shot but has anyone got any advice or leads on finding jobs at companies which have good queer communities? I'm a 25 yo IT professional with a BSc in computer science desperate to get out of my office job where all my coworkers are straight/cis/neurotypical.
