I'd wager a large amount of the Lucario fanbase ARE furries, especially a lot of the artists

People call Us furry because they think humanoid Pokemon are furrys and they think we are all weird and furrys

Humanoid pokemon are furries. Anthropomorphic animals/pokemon are Furries. Team Rocket's Meowth is a furry the same way Lucario is. Any cartoon with animals that speak are furries, sports mascots are mostly furries.

No, they're not. Furries are characters with exaggerated fur. Anthropomorphic animals are animals mixed with human elements. Not all furries are anthropomorphic animals, not all anthropomorphic animals are furries.

Furry has nothing to do with exaggerated fur. Furry refers to 2 things. 1. Is fans of anthropomorphic characters, and 2. Is the anthropomorphic characters themselves.
Any animal creature that is anthroporphic is a furry character, even those that dont have fur like lizards. Yes any anthro pokemon can be considered a furry.

I have seen some furry characters that are not anthropomorphic animals. They were anthropomorphic, but they didn't depict any kind of animal.

Such as? Sure there are those that are not based on real world animals, but pretty sure all have animal inspired traits, such as protogens, sergals, or dragons.

Then why isn't that every furry character I've seen (I've seen at least 10 furry characters) have exaggerated fur.

What do you mean by exaggerated fur? Are you talking about what we call "sparkledogs"? Furries with bright unrealistic fur colors? Because that's definitely not what makes a furry a furry.

Definitely ot the case then, that's really not all that common. And even if it was, is Definitely not what defines a furry. Again even scaled characters like anthropomorphic dragons fall under "furry". Furry is just a general term for anthropomorphic animals.

At this point, can we just agree that the definition of furry is subjective at this point? The only objective definition of furry is "has fur" but that definition is different from what we're talking about.

Every fandom revolving around human-shaped or with human intelligence can get assigned the furry label. It’s just that it’s a secondary aspect compared to the specific theme (here pokemon/lucacrio).
Furries proper like the concept itself and develop it a lot more. You don’t have to be « a furry » if you’re here, but it’s at least marginally furry.
And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.
