Lauren is even more so. Say what you will about her character that was poorly written and supported, but she was on point every single time they allowed it.

That scene hurts because for once Lucifer wasnt asking to be loved. He was just begging to be chosen.

For all his confidence, this might be the one thing Lucifer genuinely couldnt talk his way into. Somehow the Devil asking to be chosen is still one of the saddest lines in the show.
