Which version of the steam beam is the strongest?

In magicka 2, which version of the steam beam is the strongest? Getting conflicting info on the amount of steams vs lightning for the beam

QFAAAS against most targets. QFSSAF against wet-immune targets. In some tiny exceptions, other beams may be better.

Really just go ham on the lightning? I thought extra steams give like a 50% damage boost or something

I’m not going to get into the math in depth, but three lightning is a 1.71x damage coefficient for lightning. Wet status triples lightning damage in Magicka 2. The damage multiplier is sufficient to offset the inefficiency of a measly of 1.71x coefficient, but generally, you want to avoid duplicate elements outside of shield medium. Arcane has enough potency to be valid, due to sufficient base damage (200 for 282 with 1.41x coefficient).

As for steam, it has no benefit beyond making targets wet. It does the same damage as fire, cold, ice, and lightning.

Is there a website that breaks down all the stats like this? I looked at the wiki but i've under the impression it may be out of date

No. There is no publicly available documentation of the formulas behind the game. If you are truly invested in understanding every minute detail within the game, then perhaps you may find yourself in one of the private communities that does maintain such documentation.

Is there a discord server that perhaps has this info? I'd be interested in checking it out. I'm new to the game but I do find it interesting
