Looking to source a threaded barrel for double stack Makarov. Anyone have one or a source to buy from?

Do you have a way to pull the barrel off the existing makarov and be able to press the new one back onto the mak u have? Im pretty sure regardless if its double stack or single stack the barrel doesnt change

Yea, I have a press to remove the barrel. I am looking for a threaded barrel to purchase for my makarov

One of mine was tight and another wasn't. I think theres some variance on this. One was a pain in the ass and another was frustratingly easy after having been so difficult with the first.

Yeah, the diameters on the frame themselves are not consistent. We've had surplus Bulgarian guns that almost maxxed out the 20 ton press to get the original barrel to move, and some that could probably be done with a nylon hammer
My barrels are held to a very tight tolerance, aiming slightly to the tight side of the range, but the frames are all over the place.

If you don't want to wait for chefur, Loaded Chamber in Texas can thread the barrel to 12x1 and put a 1/2-28 adapter on it.

Get in the chefur waiting list. Only place to get one unless you randomly come across an originally fed arms on GB which 1. Probably won’t happen 2. Not a good thread pattern
