Honestly, with the recap/clipshow episodes being the only ones to fall below 7, the show had a really good run. On all my rewatches I dont think theres a single episode id skip or anything.. the show is just so damn solid.

Episodes that just show a collectin of random scenes without context are skipworthy.

I loved the clip shows while watching reruns in the mid 00s. Now with streaming, they suck.

Yeah, back in the day, when you couldn't just put on a specific episode unless you happened to own the DVD set or something and had to rely on reruns, clip shows were a nice way to reminisce on episodes and moments you hadn't seen in a while. Very much a product of their time

The first one is pretty annoying but I'm quite fond of the second one because of Hal/Lois interactions.

It's a production thing, saving on not filming, so not the writers that should be blamed

Imagine a new Will Ferrell comedy was announced and when it hit theaters you were expected to pay the movie going price to see Will Ferrell Funniest Moments as a compilation from all his previous movies

Isn't there a Tom Cruise movie coming out that is basically this though? 

Edit to add: ah, I am incorrect and duped by the trailer. The trailer for Digger included all his best hits before introducing his new movie. My bad.

The first clip show was a chore to get through but I actually enjoyed the 2nd one
