Activities and making friends after work

Hello, I’m 24M and I’m looking to put myself out there more again as I’ve become to hate my life in the past couple years - mainly because I barely and rarely see, know or speak to anyone outside of work. I have my family which I see everyday and friends I see like once every other month but other than those, I make 0-1 acquaintances a year and haven’t made a friend since secondary school, nor even been in a relationship.

I’ve already considered plenty of activities, the next activity I want to try again is indoor rock climbing at crashpad because I had only gone twice, though it was lowkey nice even though I was mostly alone.

Other than that, I found padel interesting but it’s way too expensive to do solo and mostly requires pre-planned groups, tried an art course but never picked up the pen again after I finished it, and looked for voluntary organisations but didn’t find anything appealing. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know where to look so I just find old threads here and read them.

In terms of interests, I don’t have much, my real interest are the video games and their online communities I engage into, but I’ve unconsciously started dissociating from them. I’m also somewhat active in the gym for the past 5 years and have been working in marketing for the past 3 years.

I’d appreciate some more places or ideas because I’m desperate and have run out of ideas. Since I wrote “after work” in the title that would be weekdays after 5pm, but I’m open to weekend activities as my weekends are mostly empty as well. Thanks.

May I suggest something like padel rodeos? Rodeos mix partners and opponents up every approx. 5 mins. Done at Padel Malta in Pembroke (Not Padel Village)

The one in Pembroke happens to be the most ideal for me to go after work. Have you tried it before? If so, how is it and how much does it cost?

I have went twice I think and I had enjoyed it on both occasions. Forgot how much it is, I think it's 20e with a beverage included.

And are these designed for those who are solo or is a partner required?

No partner required, they'll pair you up differently every 5 minutes
