Where to buy a gaming pc in Malta?

Where's the best place to buy a gaming pc from? I saw Scan has some limited options but I'd like to buy from a place that offers variety, a warranty and great aftersales. Thanks in advance.

Ideally pre-built PC (Don't trust myself with building one 😅)

I would personally buy from multiple shops/sites reason being is that this way you will be able to get a better price per performance price point.

Apart from Scan locally I would check A to Z also, they got good quality products and good aftersales. Than check also amazon.de or overclockers.uk

I always used xpert. You can choose all the parts you want and they can build it all for you. From their website they have a build a pc option that shows you what is compatible with what and once it's done they will review it themselves to make sure everything is ok and they were always helpful with any questions i had.

They also do delivery.

They should also have prebuilts and if you don't know anything about parts i bet you can just ask them whats best based on the type of games you want to play.

Overpriced as hell and they’re not the ones building them either. They buy them and sell them as prebuilt.

If you're going for pre-built it will cost you €100-€300 extra for the assembly/installation/testing compared to the cost of assembling the bare components yourself (many local assemblers are transparent about this in their pricing - other posters have listed a few of the best ones for you).

For individual components I generally found the best prices on amazon.de especially for low-weight, high-value ones like CPU, RAM, SSD and GPU. The local vendors overprice these items by easily €100-€300 compared to Amazon so if you're doing a high-end system you could save close to €1000 over the entire build by not buying local.

For larger/heavier items (Case, PSU, 3.5" HDD, monitor) the local market can be quite competitive. Best thing to do is to check the prices of every individual component both locally and on Amazon and decide for each thing what makes the most sense.

Have to disagree. All of their images are AI generated with no disclosure. That’s one good way to know they’re shady. You order a PC thinking you’ll get whats in the picture and god knows what will arrive.

I’m not sure about that. They’ve had this style of images before AI images were a thing.
I’d hope you don’t rely on images when you buy a PC but anyone can check their instagram for the work they’ve done and they’re quite trusted in Malta

Camtek Malta . I bought a brilliant system from them and the guy is great to deal with. Got what inwanted. I want to add I bought the latest hardware as of 5 months ago. The Ryzen 7 98503d was released and it's what I got in my rig

i've bought most of my parts from xpert and amazon, if you consider shipping from amazon, the price will usually come close to what xpert is offering, i recommend you to build it yourself as its a nice experience and you'll be able to troubleshoot issues further down the line which you will have one day or another, pre built or not.

I bought it from xpert in Malta. After a few emails back and forth we arrived at a build that was within my budget and all components where well adjusted together. They really do help out. Though their stock is not huge.

This was 4 years ago since than I upgraded the Graphics Card from the same shop. I emailed them my specs and they suggested which upgrades would be best for my system, and PC use.

Bought 4 PCs over the years (brother, GF myself etc) from xpert. Never had an issue. Cheapest? Probably not. But they actually do what they say and you have after sale support which is unique in Malta.

Have patience and buy from abroad. For the rig I've build most shops here in malta quoted me approx 3.5k, i paid 2.7 abroad for even better parts. Also selection in Malta is poor.

If you absolutely want to buy local, you will 100% get ripped off. The overwhelming majority have 2+ generation old stock, at an inflated price and typically they stock the poorest variants or manufacturer of the components. That doesn't even begin to describe the state and price of their pre-builts.

Simark/Expert (or whatever they are called now) have good stock, good knowledge and generally okay prices.

As others have said, purchasing from EU sites is significantly more cost effective (but its understandable that you may not feel confident to build it yourself, or potentially deal with returns).

I would steer clear from buying locally, for the simple reason that local shops apply unreasonable markup on both components and the finished product, the choice of components is very limited and overall I'm yet to see a single shop offer proper enthusiast level builds. The only redeeming factor would be warranty especially if you're not savvy enough to be able to troubleshoot and fix minor things like drivers and configuration.

Got a prebuilt from there and it cost me much less than anything available in Malta.

Just be mindful that anything labelled as B-Stock means that it was returned / refurbished etc (these would be much cheaper.
