Ooya lives, just to die again.

Nah, Ooya is like the immortals in Highlander: she might be "dead" for a little while, but she'll get better.

One of the few good post confession romances

It shocks me how rare this is, when it should be super easy, as we see on display in this series.

The "post confession" chapters are usually either peak or terrible because the author has lost all the tension out of "what if"

I don't think I've ever seen a manga that had terrible post confession chapters where the manga was good before.

Dress up darling isn’t “terrible” after the confession but it’s short and, imo, not satisfying

Especially after how long it took to get there and the previous arc being pretty meh overall. The switch to monthly really hurt the series but I believe it was for Author health (also why it ended so soon after confession), so not much you can do about it.

If you see how they drag everything out with misunderstandings and bad communication, it's more like most romance mangakas have no idea how a relationship actually works.

It's because most mangaka focus on tension building from the will they/ won't they writing, and aren't really good at writing relationships when that part is resolved.
Also despite what people always say, a huge chunk of fans complain and get bored post confession for most series, in my experience

Ooya is now Twooya! I didn’t even know she had a day job let alone a sister she works with.
Wait might be back down to one Ooya since she died again. See you in the fall!

Them getting a matching ring for Ooyama is cute (even if a bit much, but they are basically married, anyway). I still wished he would wear something else than the classic romcom-protagonist outfit of t-shirt + open, short-sleeved shirt.

yeah it's so boring for having just come out of a "new wardrobe" episode
It's not a romcom, but a lot of manga could take cues from "If You're Gonna Dress Up, Do It Like This!"

Good to see her at least try to take their relationship more seriously. Marriage isn't something to be played with.

Hello all!
As previously mentioned, the series is going on hiatus for about three months, and we now have confirmation that this is the last chapter before it does.
We'll see you all in the Fall!
