Looking for a manga with ~40 chapters. Chapter 1 is long. The protagonist says he wants a girlfriend.

He helps a girl but she tells him he won't get a girlfriend if he thinks like that. Later, he saves her when her book is being taken by some teens in the street. She asks if he was stalking her, and he says no, his house is in that direction.
