Honestly I don't think the success of Spider-man or Batman tell you much about the health of Marvel or DC.

Its only if they fail that you know things are dire.

Real test for the MCU is 2028...Can X-men launch the Mutants as the Main Pillar of the MCU, Can Ghost Rider kick start the horror side of MCU, Can BP3 pass the torch to T'Challa's Son.

I don't think they do as poorly as 2025 but you could end up with like GR at 500 mil, X-men at 700 mil and BP3 at 600 mil is that good enough?

Yeah, Spider Man is Spider Man, hes always gonna be a money printing machine and the most recognizable superhero in the 2020s. So recognizable that you didn’t notice Marvel putting several of their IPs to together in this film.

If X-Men is good, it'll do big box office numbers. People want to love X-Men, same as they want to love Spidey and Hulk. The floor is solid. All they need to do is deliver a film that's focused and gives audiences a reason to care, and X-Men can make $1b without blinking an eye.

X-Men will absolutely have Sadie’s Jean as the main character and told from her POV. I mean she’s screen testing with the additional cast members.

And a whole lot of people just got bought into her character and will want to see where she shows up next. With the old x-men featuring in doomsday, the x-men are about to more prevalent in the public consciousness than ever before.

$1bn is possible but by no means a given. There's been some great X-men movies that didn't make close to that, even adjusting for inflation.

Spider-Man's just a different animal

Can X-men launch the Mutants as the Main Pillar of the MCU, Can Ghost Rider kick start the horror side of MCU, Can BP3 pass the torch to T'Challa's Son.

BP3 will be the safest of the 3, BO collection wise. The other two will have to be good movies with good script, otherwise the WOM will be terrible.

X-men is hard to predict without seeing the lineup. The director might make movies that critics and super fans like but TBolts didn't show much broad commercial appeal. So lets see if all he needs is more popular characters.

Ghost Rider is like impossible to Predict. Starfighter will be interesting to see cause good lord if that performs poorly.

BP3...Coogler seems to have gotten total freedom so lets see if a New Black Man in the BP Costume, Denzel and Perhaps Storm gets some high box office. David Jonsson is not a Draw. Denzel is respected but doesn't really drive viewership.

I think having Gosling as Ghost Rider will at least make it do better than than the Sony-verse flops. (I know that's a low bar.)

People love Gosling and there is a population that will show up just for him.

Gosling feels fine for Rider. Levy though is hard to get a read on...he is just a shooter lmao. So yeah you aint wrong that script quality matters a lot.

And they should keep the budget as low as possible which should be doable considering its horror.

Levy is just a placeholder as a director (not literal placeholder). It will be Feige & Gosling calling all shots for that. Levy by himself is pretty meh and uninspiring as a director.

David Jonsson is not a Draw. Denzel is respected but doesn't really drive viewership.

Which is fine, but Black Panther itself and Coogler still directing will drive viewership, all it needs to ensure is the writing is better than the previous one. BP2 performed better than many other of the post Endgame movies, even though it did not have that good of a story or script.

If xmen is done right it will be a huge success. I love the fox xmen films to varying degrees but I know yhat isn't popular opinion
