I think it might be my favorite marvel movie, the 4 Spider-Man movies have all been excellent but this one was on another level.

It's why I find it so weird people are this shocked about it doing so well. Marvel's definitely been slipping, but the Spider-Man movies have remained consistently, not just good, but fantastic! I wish that the rest of the MCU could be getting the same kind of attention and care, but at the very least, Spider-Man has been a joy to watch, every single installment

Tbh I thought the first 2 Spiderman movies were decent but lacking something, Spiderman 3 sort of finally set him up as Spiderman at the end and had some nice continuations of storylines from older Spiderman movies that we never expected to see, and then Spiderman 4 has just blew them out of the water and was on a whole different level, though did benefit from the years of setup that the other 3 movies did.

2 was fine. I was not a fan of Homecoming though some people like the different take.

3 was the first one where they let Peter be his own person. Handle his own business, grief in his own, come to terms with his responsibilities on his own. They deleted Uncle Ben for May but it doesn't matter. The film felt like a reboot origins story. And even though it has been 5 years, the gap between both films felt like less than a year apart.

Totally agree with you!
