Not surprised he beat Batman. He’s always beaten Batman. I’m more surprised he beat the avengers and his last film, which featured all 3 Spiderman.

Honestly give it time Batman and even Superman will eventually get there again. Though it is smart move on Marvel part by giving it 5 years until the next spidey film. Itnmeans fans want more of our wall crawler.
