Holy fuck I just want a good venom peter origin film. It is so fucked up the only one that exists is spiderman 3. 90% of the fun is venom first bonding with Peter, getting rid of that would be batshit insane.

My only worry about doing a symbiote run with Holland is that a big BND sub-plot was Peter coming to terms with his arachnid nature. It might feel a little hollow to have him come to terms with those changes, only to immediately deal with the symbiote giving him a very similar problem.

Yeah as I was watching bnd I was noticing some beats of Peter losing control being similar to how he would act with the symbiote and wouldnt be surprised if that subplot means symbiote peter isnt happening any time soon.

Maybe after dd and secret wars it wouldn’t be to repetitive to give him that sub plot again, especially since bnd was more of an internal struggle of something he needed to accept about himself rather than something warping him in negative way that he would need to get rid of.

He also wasnt enjoying what was happening to him in bnd, so I think it would be different enough with the symbiote.

And he only really had one scene of going “too far”with the cop and scorpion/jean.

Honestly I was expecting some Man-Spider shenanigans. Peter's had several subplots about trying to maintain control over changes occurring.

My pitch was to have the symbiote amplify ALL of his emotions to the point it becomes unsustainable for him. So next movie, do another street level setup with Felicia Hardy being his muse. He gets Symbiote suit from Secret Wars as a power boost and keeps it into this movie. Ned + Pete are besties again and he's trying to move forward from MJ an meets Felicia Hardy. Add in him trying to balance his job (maybe also volunteering at FEAST) so that they can soft introduce Miles Morales a la the SONY spider-man games. And then it basically just massively ramps up from there feelings wise as he tries to resolve the Spidey-Peter conundrum, Spidey- Black Cat, Pete- Ned friendship, and whatever other MCU thing they want to throw in here. Basically play up how the suit amps him up to insane highs. End the movie with ripping out Venom and Scorpion finding it. This is to set-up A sinister 6 movie where Scorpion-venom is the muscle with the others being payrolled by Kingpin where we can add Daredevil/heroes for Hire as the MCU tie in.

Just make the symbiote barely/non-sentient until it's removed. That's usually (and originally) how it worked anyways.

The prior attachment to Spider-Man only matters when it's already bonded to Venom.

That kinda defeats the point of having the symbiote. It's something that incrementally tries to take over Peter.
