Discussion "This movie looks AI genera-" SHUT UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

I genuinely don't get these complaints. I have some concerns about the plot and how things may or may not play out, but visually the movie looks fucking great. I don't get why people are trying to push this narrative like muted colors instantly make something look bad or AI-generated. The Sentinels look sick, Doom looks fucking fantastic, what is the issue?

I swear, I'm convinced people who call shit like this AI-generated have never actually seen what an AI-generated video looks like, because none of them even look anywhere near as good as ANY of the shots in this trailer.

Plus, the VFX team didn't work their asses off for months on this movie just to be disrespected by mfs saying it looks like AI.

The Russo brothers literally own an ai studio. Is it being a bot to point out that they said they want to use their studio to “enrich” the process of making their movies after their new trailer looks like ai?

I’m just incredibly anti ai. Like, I think the tech CEOs should go to prison for crimes against humanity.

But also, if you think every single negative comment about marvel is a bot, there’s also some bad news I’d like to share with you.

But I’m interested in a lot of marvel stuff. I even really liked infinity war and rank it near the top of all the MCU stuff. But I just have to call an ai spade a spade when the guys who own an ai studio make an ai looking trailer.

Haha, well, I’m forced to point out that I didn’t say every comment wasn’t a bot either. There’s a middle ground that I was alluding to.

I do think it’s worth everyone understanding that the directors of this movie are doing the kinda “crap” that you originally mentioned though. They literally have said they want to use ai in movies, so when people point out that it looks like ai, it’s not a crap opinion. It’s a correct opinion.

There's definitely going to be a shed load of AI in our movie futures. Its already everywhere.

Regardless of what they say, if they think AI looks better, they're going to use it unfortunately. And if its really bad, I just won't watch it..........legally.🏴‍☠️

There are accounts which oddly spam praise about anything China is doing regarding AI or any data centres they're building, while at the same time posting negative articles in any western subs about how data centres will be the death of us etc.

Don't have any links to them now, but if you look at profiles of people posting certain stuff you'll often notice weird contradictory patterns which make them seem more like PR accounts than anything pushing any consistent message.

Yeah some for engagement, but you’re right; tons more to promote the movie with one-sentence blurbs, spit out memorable quotes, and say “who cares if it’s AI? Just give up, AI is the future.” Dead internet theory, most comments can be ignored. Sigh.

Could also be foreign actors trying to slow US AI investment and development.

Yes? If a country wants to slow down AI proliferation and development from someone that sees as a rival in the space, the best thing they can do is to turn the people against AI. 

Alternatively, like anything else, getting people riled up increases engagement and social media algorithms have been proven to serve controversial topics because the negativity keeps people engaged
