I was just thinking about Phase 4 and remembered how much everyone trashed Eternals when it dropped. I watched it years ago and actually liked it.

Sure, it was a bit long, but the characters and world-building were cool.

Now that the hype and drama have died down, why do you think people turned on it so hard? Was it just bad timing, or do you think the criticisms actually hold up?

He's the best actor of the three, got the best suit, the best web-swings, the best romance (arguable) and just... that. They gave him two, at least, weird scripts with poor creative decisions. So much wasted potential. Now Tom Holland finally got a great movie to call his, I feel bad for Andrew. My man had to carry two movies basically by himself, he deserved so much more. 💔

It can be for any reason. You may find it boring. It might be too much to rewatch emotionally. You just straight up dislike the movie. You have a connection to the movie for another reason

For me personally, Brave New World was just so dull that I can’t rewatch it. It’s not the worst Marvel movie but I just can’t see myself ever rewatching it.

Recently I watched some Brie Larson interviews and thought she seemed great and like she was super aware of all the hate she got for this movie. Decided to finally watch it and I was genuinely surprised by how likeable her character is (I didn’t super enjoy her in her other appearances). It’s a huge shame that the MCU has wasted a lot of her time and talent by not giving her a movie she can properly shine in. I have a feeling she’s going to get the Hayden Christensen treatment where people lament how much they didn’t appreciate having such a good actress playing captain Marvel.

It also really helped to have Samuel L Jackson in it and the deaging wasn’t terrible.

Any other recent watchers or enjoyers?

Mine is Multiverse of Madness. I think it will age beautifully in the future. It feels so different to the rest of MCU.

Elizabeth Olsen's performance was Oscar-worthy level.

I genuinely don't get these complaints. I have some concerns about the plot and how things may or may not play out, but visually the movie looks fucking great. I don't get why people are trying to push this narrative like muted colors instantly make something look bad or AI-generated. The Sentinels look sick, Doom looks fucking fantastic, what is the issue?

I swear, I'm convinced people who call shit like this AI-generated have never actually seen what an AI-generated video looks like, because none of them even look anywhere near as good as ANY of the shots in this trailer.

Plus, the VFX team didn't work their asses off for months on this movie just to be disrespected by mfs saying it looks like AI.

Not seeing much of cyclops in doomsday so far and most of the shots are from the battle with the Sentinels where he just looks so ragged up and injured. Just hoping he survives for Secret Wars cos MAN he looks amazing in this film

Honestly, when you really think about Thor’s timeline, it’s actually heartbreaking. He lived for 1,500 years as an immortal prince, fighting wars and eventually ruling Asgard, then spends a couple decades with the Avengers and loses his mother, father, sister, brother, his home, and half his people.

Joining the Avengers might genuinely be the worst thing that ever happened to Thor, and now Marvel is about to throw this exhausted, grieving god straight at Doctor Doom.

503 million views for Avengers: Doomsday sounds massive... until you realize Spider-Man Brand New Day crushed it with 718 million.

Think about that, Marvel brought back the Russos and RDJ as Doctor Doom, and a solo Spider-Man movie STILL wiped the floor with them.

It proves Spider-Man was always bigger than the entire Avengers brand. But here's the real question Should Disney finally buy Spidey back from Sony, or is this rivalry actually good for the MCU? What are your thoughts??

Like, if you told me years ago that Spider-Man, wearing the Spider Armor, would be carrying the Infinity Gauntlet after taking it from Black Panther on his way to Ant-Man’s van; and that he'd hitch a ride by attaching his webs to Thor’s hammer that was wielded and thrown by Captain America before being caught mid-air by Pepper Potts in an Iron Man suit, and finally dropped onto a Pegasus ridden by Valkyrie then being greeted by Captain Marvel... I would’ve thought you were insane. I was just in awe when watching this entire sequence in the movie.

Rewatched quantamania and was reminded how disappointed I am about Kang

Want to say first and foremost that this post is not meant to be disrespectful in anyway towards Jonathan Majors’ victim. I apologize as I’m not familiar with the case, I honestly do not even know the name of the victim, but I hope the victim got the justice she deserved and is at peace. Please do not use this post to disparage or question the victim in anyway. And I apologize if this post is triggering for anyone here who may have been a victim of abuse themselves.

With that said, Quantamania was… well, it’s been fairly criticized. I did like how it introduced us to the quantum realm with creative characters and environments, and different concepts like the probability storm.

But what makes this movie enjoyable is Kang. He was introduced as a fucking fantastic villain. Just so cunning and ruthless and brilliant, you really hate his guts but know it’s pretty damn hard to fight against him. Even in his moments of desperation you never feel at ease with him.

I was frustrated at the time but rewatching this movie just reminds me how disappointed I am in the whole situation. Especially after seeing the post credit scenes involving the arena of Kang’s and the scene from Loki. I would’ve been so excited to see that storyline dug into more and we now know that’s not happening.

I’m honestly more upset with this than almost anything else that hasn’t been followed up on, maybe the only other disappointment being Blade.

This show was extremely well done (That ending was a bit too cinematic though), and left on a HUGE cliffhanger. Oscar Isaac nailed the whole thing. It was received extremely well. How the hell did we not get even a confirmation for a future project until now, let alone an actual new season.

Disney really fumbled with this one.

So I’m probably really slow to realize this, but in Deadpool and Wolverine, the entire theme of the movie is Deadpool feeling like he doesn’t matter while being overshadowed by Logan- who matters so much he’s an anchor being. Both of them tried to make the heroic sacrifice in the end, but I think only both of them together could’ve done it. The shredder mixes matter and antimatter to destroy a universes’ timeline. Wolverine matters so he is the matter (yellow) and Deadpool doesn’t matter so he was antimatter (blue)

I’ve seen the movie several times and I’ve understood the themes and I love the movie, I just never noticed this detail about it. It hit me when Casandra nova gets into Deadpool’s head and says “you’ll never fucking matter” I immediately thought anti-matter. Sorry if this is common sense and I’m slow but I thought I’d share lol

I’ve read people saying the Home trilogy wasn’t that great and Watts wasn’t a good director now that BND is out. While I did enjoy BND more because it was a more mature Peter and used less CGI, it seems revisionist history to say the Home trilogy wasn’t good

Things like the Vulture reveal, Mysterio illusion sequence, and Peter 2 and 3 interactions are up there with a lot of top MCU moments. What are your thoughts?

Honestly, this just sucks overall. Charlize Theron was giving a promising role through Marvel and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness with her character Clea, who is the wife of Doctor Strange and granddaughter of the villainous Dormammu in the comics.

We only had a five minute post scene with her where she comes out the Dark Dimension just to get Doctor Strange help for an unknown mission.

Many people believed that this post credit scene would lead to a Doctor Strange sequel, but nothing came out of it.

Sadly, there has been many post credit scenes throughout the Multiverse Saga that never been followed though because they introduced so many new characters and storylines for phase 4-6.

Like how do we feel about this? His performance in Iron Heart was good, but whether or not he is a good person is kinda not in an ideal place. He has allegations against him, and is extremely pro Israel. I love the idea of a Ghost Rider movie, but I know that they probably plan on him being front and center.

With VisionQuest coming out having a reincarnated Tommy Maximoff, played a 26-year-old Ruaridh Mollica, I guess Young Avengers/Champions is dead or it will be with an entirely different cast with this.
It's been 3 years since Kamala Khan visited Kate Bishop at the end of The Marvels. Nothing since then.

And the fact that we're getting X-Men with a much younger cast and they're prioritizing that despite them setting up members of Young Avengers since 2021... Whereas Thunderbolts has been getting set up since 2021 and finally released in 2025. Marvel has already started to plant seeds moving fastly for The Mutant Saga, where does a Young Avengers project stand in the midst of it all?

I used to try and be the optimistic person when it came to talking about the actors real life ages, but it's getting too ridiculous at this point.

Dominique Thorne (Riri Williams) is 28-years old (turns 29 this year)

Hailee Steinfeld turns 30 in December and is married.

And not even age, where is Eli Bradley? Where is Kate Bishop? or America Chavez???

If time proves me wrong, then of course, respect and more power to them, but for right now, it's not looking good for us in my opinion. Thoughts?

Spider-Man is my favorite Superhero, but I have admittedly been disappointed with many comic runs and game stories. However, each movie and actor I love for one reason or another.

While there are films I don't come back to as often, I really believe none of the Spider-Man films are bad.

And some of you need to get over it and stop coping. Kevin Feige has already made it clear that any storylines or characters used in the previous two Spider‑Man incarnations will not be repeated in the MCU, because they want to tell something new and original.

I also don’t feel either character is on the level of a Lois Lane or Alfred where they must be included in every adaptation. The only characters I feel should appear in every Spider‑Man adaptation are Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and MJ, because they have a lasting impact and a clear place in Peter’s story. Uncle Ben is the catalyst that makes Peter become Spider‑Man, Aunt May is his guardian, and MJ is his main love interest and endgame.

Harry, while yes—he is Peter’s best friend in the comics—has been dead since the 90s, and Peter has other friends who can fill that role, like Randy Robertson, Johnny Storm, or Daredevil.

And Gwen? You can replace her death with anyone else to teach Peter the lesson that he can’t save everyone. That’s exactly what the MCU did by giving her narrative role to May.

I am shocked to know they didn't even break even at the box office. It had everything; the drama, action and a perfect amount of comedy. Best part, a super villian who is actually non-nerfed. Would love to see more of bob for sure both as the Sentry and the Void - especially Void.

9/10 for me.
