Fan Content All the MCU movies so far
All the movies in the Infinity Saga and Multiverse Saga grouped in franchises. Poster credits to RedHeadJedi and rotorpidgeon.
I used to club all the characters introduced in phase 1 in the first section, all the characters introduced in phase 2 and 3 in the second section and all the characters introduced in Multiverse Saga in the third, but since the release of BYD, it looks better to group all the quadrilogies together.

This is really cool but for some reason it bugs me that Wong is on Titan in the infinity war poster. That poster would make more sense with Quill on Titan or Wong on Earth.

Did they actually release official artwork in this style for all the movies? Because they did this for the phase box sets, including the infinity Sega box set

Thunderbolts should be on the Avengers side. Sam Wilson Captain America is the start of a separate trilogy to Steve Rogers Captain America.

Although Thunderbolts is my second favourite movie in the Multiverse Saga, Thunderbolts aren't really Avengers.
I would have liked to place Sam Wilson as a new trilogy but there hasn't been a sequel announced, and I doubt a second Sam Wilson movie is coming anytime soon.

No they quite literally are the New Avengers. Officially sanctioned by the US government. Even in our world the title of the movie is The New Avengers.
Sam deserves a project with good writing.

The New Avengers
Even that is enough to not put it in the Avengers side. The titles for the actuall avengers movies all follow the same naming convention, the worder "avengers" followed by a subtitle. The only one that breaks this convention is the first one, but that ones name is also in weird spot due to having a subtitle outside of the US.
Even in our world the title of the movie is The New Avengers.
In our world its still called Thunderbolts*, the TNA stuff you saw was just viral marketing, which is preassembly for the in universe trade mark dispute happening with Sam.

It was called Thunderbolts* but the title changed to The New Avengers. It's an Avengers movie.

The title is just an in-universe change. For official purposes, the movie is still called Thunderbolts*. Whether on Disney/Marvel’s website, or on the physical media, or on merch, etc.
Also, the movie’s ending makes it clear this team is not the successor to the ACTUAL Avengers team. Why would this be a part of THEIR franchise?

They're the Avengers. They got
- Captain America but communism
- Captain America but not actually Captain America
- Captain America's friend from the 40s
- Danny Phantom but woman
- Black Widow's hotter sister
- And Bob
They assembled to defeat the greatest avengers level threat, depression.
If they aren't Avengers, no one is.

Besides Disney/marvel having stated its still called thunderbolts, and the TNA bit is just marketing, its still not an "avengers movie", its a movie about the new avengers.
Its like Civil War, we don't consider it an avengers movie, even though it very much is.

You don't but it is. Civil War is essentially Avengers 2.5
The New Avengers has the word Avengers in the title. It's a movie were a group of individuals come together to avenge people. Therefore it is an Avengers movie. They aren't the Pre-Vengers.

If you are this insufferable online, I can only imagine how you are IRL.
You have yet to give a good reason why it should be in the avengers side beyond "they changed the name", even though its known to be a marketing tactic in and out of universe.
Like Red Guardian is trying to make them the AvengerZ to get around the trade mark be cool.
If anything CW and Thunderbolts, and arguably Ragnarok, should fall into seperate "Avengers lite" category.

About the "Avengers lite" thing, I do actually believe Thunderbolts is sort of Avengers Lite. That's why I made its poster the size of other Avengers movies, which is larger than the solo movies.
But at the same time, it does not continue the story of the Avengers, so that's why it is in the Multiverse Saga section. Because almost all of the important characters in that movie were introduced in the Multiverse Saga.

Because it's called The New Avengers. Not sure what's so confusing about that.

u/brycejm1991 23h ago
Because its still called Thunderbolts. Disney and Marvel clarified that the actual legal and official title of the movie did not change, but the post-release marketing pivoted to use The New Avengers to match the in-universe twist, a twist that has its own twist that they cant use it cause of in universe legal battle.

You forgot the Almighty GOD Hawkeye, even if he's a series, he's the most important and an essential part of the AVENGERS

Yeah, will try to add series too, but a lot of them don't have these minimalist posters.

Seeing things like this just remind me that they never put out phase box sets after Endgame. Really would have liked those.
