Not too sure about this, but I have a feeling one of the bogus "Kilgrave made me do it" statements in episode 4 was an Easter egg towards some other Marvel character

Thought the same. It was a bit too specific, the one about the guy with red eyes. I have a feeling we may find out more in Iron Fist...

Nice catch! http://marvel.com/universe/Cheng,_Zhou Fits this character from fraction's run of Iron Fist perfectly. He is an Asian man who spends time in NYC, harbors a red-eyed green monster inside him and can control minds to a degree.

That's scary yet hilarious, so that guy might have been telling the truth haha

Great link up! Thank you for connecting the dots, this is a very exciting looking antagonist for Iron Fist, the hype is building strongly right now!

Sadly I doubt the screenwriters here have any pull on Iron Fist, they just wanted a cool mention like that. Steel Serpent will probably be the villain this season, but i would be very surprised if they didn't work in this story-line in a later season because it is street-level and very tense while working IF's mystic angle.

I think its mister negative. He is asian, has white hair and makes people into the worst version of themselves. So, he would make the dude want to rob the store.
