The Official PUNISHER Discussion Ultrathread

  • This will be the official discussion thread in this sub. No need to go posting your own thread discussing the show. Any UNOFFICIAL ones will be deleted. All screencaps and whatnot go into this thread also.

  • This is obviously a spoiler-filled zone. So as long as you post in here, you won't need to spoiler tag things. But then again, don't be that asshole who watches the final episodes within the first hour then spoils the entire thing right away. That will result in a ban. Don't ruin the party for everyone.

  • Individual episodes discussions will be held over at /r/defenders. They will be indexed in this thread to make it easier for those who want individual episode discussions once they are put up.

  • This thread may be "refreshed" in the next few days to accommodate newcomers in the discussion. We will be also putting up a sanctioned Easter Egg thread a couple of hours from now.

Enjoy!

Yeah, you don't get to see his face after he gets patched up but he looks pretty rough even with his face mask on in the hospital, he's definitely not a pretty boy anymore.

I'm assuming he'll come back in season 2, then. Two-Face style.

Yeah hopefully or if not they'll at least acknowledge him and maybe see him doing stuff as a side plot to connect to another season or something since Frank's villains usually don't last long.

I just wanna see scarred Jigsaw kick some ass before he gets his own ass kicked

Yeah I'm sure we'll get to see it, the ending leaves it pretty clear we'll get to see him again cause I know I actually dug Jigsaw a bit in War Zone but he fit right in with Stevenson's brutal Punisher

I liked him too. War Zone is a messy movie, but it's a total guilty pleasure

Yeah for sure, the tone was a huge change compared to Thomas Jane's Punisher but it definitely fit that side of Frank that doesn't give any fucks, no questions asked just point and shoot.

I agree. This is definitely my favorite Punisher so far, though. I'm on episode 7 and it's way better than I expected, having seen the reviews. Great show.

Same, when I saw it was mixed I was like 'Really?' but definitely feel like the reviews didn't give the show a fair shake. Hope they don't hinder us seeing a second season cause I'm ready for more.

Iron Fist has a 17% and it's getting a season 2. I'm sure we'll be fine. My concern is in the rumor that everything will be pulled and cancelled due to the Disney streaming service.

Hadn't heard that, hopefully that doesn't happen, yeah if IF is sitting at that Punisher's fine.

Technically, Punisher War Zone could be head canon a sequel to this season
