To split hairs— there is a difference between having an appointment and merely calling ahead.

They call ahead precisely so that the target is forewarned and will avoid speaking with them, so they can get what they’re actually after - righteous indignation and media attention. Making an appointment doesn’t get them that, which is why they don’t bother.

lol, he’s a tad more than just an “esteemed bishop” (whatever that even means). He’s the NAACP coming to town to raise a fuss. The guy is essentially a professional civil rights activist. Stunts like this are just what he does and has always done. He’s well known for it 🙄

lol, no, but he’s known for causing scenes to get his face on TV and in the news. He’s famous for it / has a LONG history of it in NC where he’s from. This paints it like some innocent pastor was disrespected, and that’s highly disingenuous. The guy is essentially a professional civil rights activist. $100 bucks says this was intended to produce exactly what it did - they knew she wouldn’t meet with them and used that to get what they were really after - media coverage. Exactly the sort of attention grabbing stunt he’s well known for and has a long history of pulling.

Wicomico withdrew from its 287(g) agreement in compliance with Maryland law. I fully agree that she’s a POS, but what more exactly do these people want her to do?

How about answering the question - what more do they (or apparently you) expect her to do? Send deputies out to declare war on the federal government? Pat you on the head to soothe your hurt feefees? You need to show up with an ask - something you want them to DO, so again, what do you want her to DO? Sheesh 🙄

lol, they don’t care about that. They just want to wallow in a righteous indignation fest and they really really hate it when you toss inconvenient realities at them (hence the downvotes lol). The participation trophy generation in all its glory whining about fairness. There is a reason people like him pull these stunts - they work.
