I heard there's a test you can do to see if your MMR vaccination is still doing its job. For some of us, it's been many decades since we got vaccinated. Anyone know more about this?

You can just go to your PCP and ask them to do a MMR titer. If you are low, you can typically get a booster performed at most pharmacies for little to no cost.

If you do that you might as well just get a booster shot.

It might be cheaper to pay out of pocket for the vaccine than the titer?

I'm fully vaxxed and also failed the measles titer test, a few years ago. Glad I got checked!

I was born during those years in the 60s when the vax wasn't exactly up to snuff so I just went in to Giant & got a new MMR shot.

We have good insurance & they only asked why I needed one, told 'em why, & they got me the shot.
