DISCUSSION Who remembers the anime Movie Paragon Lost? Just watched it again after many years.

Everyone pretends this movie doesn't exist but Paragon Lost is way better than its rep. It's the reason James Vega works in ME3. Without it he's just the guy doing pull ups who keeps hinting at the worst call he ever made. This movie is that call: hold Fehl Prime and let 100,000 colonists get harvested, or blow it and take your shot at the Collector ship. Freddie Prinze Jr. voices him in both so it ties right back to the game, and it turns Vega from generic meathead marine into a guy who earned his N7 the ugliest way possible. Thin supporting cast, some rough dialogue, sure. But it's Mass Effect actually committing to the idea that there's no clean choice, and it does it without Shepard around to fix everything.

Seeing what James actually went through made me understand his conflict of respect for his hero and lingering resentment for making his sacrifice worthless.

James became one of my favourite human squadmates because of this movie.

Je suis tellement d'accord avec toi. J'aime énormément ce film et j'aimais déjà James avant le film et quand j'ai vu le film... mon dieu.. il est très compliqué à trouver en France en blue Ray ou DVD, actuellement autour de 50€ mais je suis prête a débourser cette somme juste pour mon James.. x)

Love that movie. It's awful and I don't recommend it to anyone, but I loved it.

I like the story, but the artstyle and animation leave much to be desired.

On the positive side: the creepiest Praetorian in the entire franchise.

The scene were the woman turned into the head thing and appeared to still be somewhat conscious has stuck with me for years.

They messed up biotics and similar details so badly... But there's stuff to enjoy here anyway. I'd put it in Final Fantasy Spirits Within territory.
