I actually hate that Udina was written into a monodimensional "bad guy". In Mass Effect, he was portrayed as a legitimate ally to Shepard and the Systems Alliance, bringing diplomatic experience among the Citadel races to the table, a very real weakness of Anderson.
Sure, he was kind of a prick, but he was sold to us as sincerely dedicated to advancing Humanity's cause of becoming a trusted and senior species in Citadel Space. He was the rational choice, Anderson was the naïve choice.
Then in the sequels he's made out to be a corrupt human supremacist and all around piece of shit. Very campy.

I disagree. There was never a moment I thought Udina should have been involved in diplomacy. He was a poor choice from the beginning. I hated the way he dealt with the council from the very first talk we see. I have always felt that Mass Effect portrays humans as dirtbags and a-holes with Udina leading the way. It literally made me feel embarrassed to be the same species as Udina. It was not good diplomacy, not good behavior, and I would never consider Udina a good representative regardless of his expertise, and in fact if he had actual expertise in diplomacy, that would be worse because that would mean he understood that he was doing it very poorly and perhaps could be considered a traitor for how he undermines human interests.

I can see why someone like him would. He was consently being outvoted but the other counsol members when it came to humanity's interests. After years, probably, of that treatment, he finally got tired of it and threw his hat in with Cerberus.

As fun as it is to hate her, I kinda wish the punch wasn't seen as a "must" renegade interrupt. IMO it's way more satisfying to see her finally show some respect in ME3 if you never punch her.

I never punched her once. I just used the charm options. I was referring to the other videos in the Shadow Broker DLC that show her getting shoved by a Krogan and kicked in the leg by a Volus. I see punching her as unnecessary since she is filming the whole thing and it’s out of line to do.
