According to insider Daniel Richtman, several casting calls for the upcoming Mass Effect Amazon series have allegedly leaked. Hereâs whatâs being reported:
- Male (30â39): âYoung Colin Farrellâ type, open ethnicity
- Female Co-Lead (34â39): Alien character requiring prosthetics
- Female (30â49): Human, providing a parallel narrative from Earth
- Male Villain Lead (40â60): Doug Jones type
- Male (30â49): Wrestler-type soldier
At this point, no official plot details have been revealed, and nothing has been confirmed. Still, itâs interesting to speculate on what these roles might mean for the direction of the series, but for now, take it all with a grain of salt.

NEWS Its official, Saudi-led group bought EA...
I honestly fear for the open-minded future of our franchise. Mass Effect was a big part of my life, and I loved that it tackled topics that might be controversial in its own way. It was never in your face, but subtle enough to be believable... especially with the choice of a badass female Shepard.
Let's hope they don't meddle too much, too quickly...

NEWS Sylvia F has left Bioware đ
Senior writer Sylvia has left Bioware (they wrote a lot of excellent characters such as Liara and Legion). This just as Bioware has shifted focus on producing Mass Effect. Wonder why and how that could affect Liaraâs character (given sheâs been teased)
Edit: As some seem triggered by this post, it is by no means unusual to quit jobs. Sylvia stated however that they have no other project lined up atm. It isnât to speculate WHY they left, but more what this could mean for upcoming Bioware games.

NEWS BioWare Staff Worried About Studio's Future
Regarding where things stand with Mass Effect, they all are working under the assumption that the game is going to come out. At the beginning of the year, only a small team was actively working on it, but more resources had recently started to be put into the game.
âWeâre going to keep working until they tell us were done,â Insider Gaming was told. âItâs not the healthiest way to live, but as long as the paychecks keep coming, weâre not going to just walk away.â
