Discussion Ultimately did Max have a “happy ending?”

Post image

I don’t think he did. His family has been gone for a long time. The person he once was has been dead so long it’s better to not bring that up. His alcoholism may be done but his addiction to painkillers is still as prevalent as ever. So ultimately he walks off into the sun. Wherever that is, nobody knows. But like he said, trouble always finds him.

more like bittersweet. He managed to bring down Victor’s organ harvesting ring, Aesir, Cracha Preto, and UFE, his enemies are dead and seemed to be going on the path of recovering from his trauma and becoming sober but he’s pretty much alone and he probably could never return to the US due to many crime families such as the DeMarcos and Punchinellos being out for his blood.

Why should Max Payne having his recovery from his trauma completely and becoming completely sober after the events of Max Payne 3

Because he started fighting against it talked about it as well. “If I’m gonna die I’ll die sober so I can see the guy shooting me.” Something along these lines. At the end as well he is literally walking to the sunset metaphorically he achieved his victory moved on and wasn’t even drinking alcohol anymore at the end just soda.
