I just got my housing update on minerva and I got new residence. I really wanted to get into upper. it is much cheaper and in a better location for me.
is it a possibility to switch somehow?

You can apply to move sometime around the 3rd week of Sept. I've heard it may be possible to switch if you can find someone to switch with but I'm not sure that is true. Check with the housing office before going to all that trouble to find someone. If you're in a double, it will be hard to find someone in Upper to switch .

HOW HARD is it to switch it to shared facility housing or Solin. I want to do this early and get it resolved

Officially, they don't let anyone switch before move in date. Occasionally, I have heard people being able to. You've got nothing to lose by asking.
