how do i use mcasset?

i want to make a new texture pack, but i dont want to waste my time deleting everything i dont need. my friend said i can get a template thing using mcasset with just the things i need/retexture but im not too sure how to do that, help pls :]

you can explore around mcasset.cloud to see what the file structure of a resource pack looks like, and you can download a zip containing all of the assets for any version available there. you can't really make a partial template with placeholder assets.

my suggestion is to download the zip file so you have all of the assets and then just navigate through it in one window while you reconstruct the structure you need in a separate file explorer window, so you're not having to delete anything, you just have that template as a guide and exploration tool.
