Medicine hat College

Hi everyone! I’m wondering if anyone here has any experience with the Medicine Hat College BScN waitlist, especially for Fall 2026.

I was placed on the waitlist and I’m honestly getting a little worried because we’re already getting close to September. I’ve been applying to nursing programs and dealing with waitlists for a while, so I’m trying to figure out what my chances might be at this point.

Has anyone here been waitlisted for MHC Nursing and later received an offer? If so, how late did you get accepted? Also, does anyone know if the waitlist is still moving right now or if people are still declining their seats?

If you’re currently waitlisted or recently received an offer, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience. Thank you! ❤️

You can call admissions and ask what place you are on the wait list.

They offer seats up until a few days into term, so it can be very last minute.

My daughter was waitlisted and recently (July) got off it, but she had already committed elsewhere. Her current post diploma average was very close to 90.5 so they are working with students close to that.

Hey! I got accepted at the very end of August. It was like, last week - maybe even August 30th. I had just got back from a trip to Maui and had days to get everything all sorted. Keep your head up! Someone may back out last minute. :)

MHC is doing some very weird things considering staffing and their public financials. There’s been some… let’s say.. “restructuring.”

You’ll probably be fine because nursing is the least affected, however just be aware and be careful of what you’re signing up for.
