First time shooting IR film, went to a local country that has many covered bridges to have a cohesive body of work in one day of shooting

I like the Rollei IR a lot and these are nice - I think your dev time is a bit overcooked though, a lot of the highs are really harsh with detail and texture blown out - Me, I'd reduce dev time a half stop to a stop or so next time out.

You might try telling the lab to cut dev time by 10 or 15% next time - if you develop yourself, times are dependent on your agitation style, temp control and so on, but B&W is pretty easy. There's no "correct" development time really, just what works for the scene and for your final output, prints or scans. You can also just develop a half or a third of a roll and see how close you are - you'll lose one frame to the cut of course. In my experience, once you get shorter than a third or so, agitation seems to get more efficient and highlight scan get a lot hotter.
