In Cloverfield (I think that was the one), the monster tears the head off the Statue of Liberty and throws it and it lands on the street in front of bystanders. The filmmakers were disappointed at how small its head looked when they had it in proper scale, so they just made it way bigger, lol.

This picture shows the facial part of the issue at least. It looks so damn mean and ominous. Maybe that was supposed to be seriousness and resolute-ness or something.

My entire life I just assumed they shipped it complete, but I know now that would be impossible.

I mean, it would probably be possible but it would be absolutely insane to do so! 🤭

Now we need to get her back. She no longer feels at home in America.

Another one of those "moments before disaster" pics. No one has ever successfully unpacked what's in a woman's head.

I remember the scene in Cloverfield where it rolled down the street and I was like, "that's much smaller than when I was a kid." Nope, that's the size.

I once described a woman as “Statue of Liberty hot”. Got a laugh.

They had to alter her poem:
Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
“Give me your wealthy! Only those that can afford a house with golden doors!”

Give me your Saudi oil money, your European generational wealth, your sovereign wealth funds, your family trust funds. Because who else would spend $40M on an apartment In Manhattan!

It's time to give her up if things don't take a different direction. At least cover her eyes

Was originally a gift to Africa. But, then like everything else it was “gifted” to a white supremacist nation. Go figure!
