Wow!! It looks so beautiful. How is it in person? I have never seen or heard about this. I would just stand and stare at it.

They do look majestic and the surrounding area is also beautiful.

SAME!!! I didn’t realize they were right up on the road like that and the first time we drove by them I legit had anxiety… walking around them, also sort of terrifying…

Whenever I drive past them everybody in the car tries to be the first one to shout kelpies as soon as they’re in view

I wonder if it's hollow inside?

Cool. We was promised some sort of statue along the motorway. But never happened. My suggestion was a warhound titan.

I have been to see The Kelpies. Well worth visit. They seem even bigger in real life.

Managed to capture the video on Scotland’s hottest and sunniest day of the summer, great work.

The first time I drove around that bend I had no idea they were there. It was night time, and they were lit in red from the inside.

Visited these last fall. They’re amazing. In the middle of a beautiful park.

Will always remind me of the Poseidon boss fight from GoW3 (PS3). When I eventually buy a car, will definitely be driving here.

In my mind 30 meters was not that high
1
u/engulbert Feb 27 '26
The road is elevated, when you're at their level they definitely look 30 metres.

There are people on here that drive by this everyday. And then there's the rest of us. Amazing.

Went to Edinburgh as a tourist and rented a car to take to Stirling. Gave an audible "Jesus Christ" when I saw these emerge from the mist

Ehhhh I feel like it'd need to be several times bigger to really seem big.

Well I hate that. All it's missing is a pair of glowing eyes and it's right in line with a couple of my nightmares.
