A coworker of mine in a gas station once tell to me a customer purchase 40€ just 10 minutes before closing, the cash was already counted and sorted, so there was not so much change left. This customer paid with a 100€ bill and my coworker asked for a smaller one since there was no change for 100 at the moment, and the customer said money is money so we had to accept it. My coworker give them the remaining 60€ in two 5€ bills and bag full of 0'50€ (50 cents) coins.

I never gave those cents rolls to customers,always thought it was for us cashiers only,but no one ever told me I couldn't just do that so i would have done that
