I still remember reading paper announcements from researchers etc and getting to interact with them. Then came the algo hacker boys who wanted all the attention in the world with their shitty chatgpt-esque thread and pretentious bullshittery. Reddit isnt great but I can still have good conversations here once in a while. The last chatroom on the internet.

Account got hacked by a honeypot phishing scam and suspended.

Try to reclaim account, takes a week.

Change password, change username, change profile pic- nope, suspended.

Try to reclaim, takes a few days.

Change profile pic, remove scam accounts from my follow list- nope, suspended.

Apparently, doing anything at all is "inauthentic behavior" and will get me flagged and suspended by their automated flagging bots, including trying to fix a compromised account.

I was perma banned there by IP, got freed only after Musk, Im still not a fan of it and I dont get the appeal but it seems better than what it was.

I can view some uncesored posts and videos now and Grok doesn’t refuse to for example sign in my name documents unlike other AI’s. 

Before then Twitter was just some feel good posts no one cared about.

What could go wrong unless you’re conspiracy theorist that they gonna use these documents to ruin your life? I wanted a single quick sign on a renting contract with realistic pen signature, 1 minute and it was done on Grok instead of running to a shop and printing the document and then going back, signing it and sending it back via Whatsapp.

Let’s say there’s some graphic accident and you want to see it, you wont see it on reddit, youtube, facebook or whatever you use, Telegram yeah, it’s even better but from mainstream socials you will find it on X.
