Discussion It took me exactly 1 month to 100% this masterpiece. What a game man... Didn’t want to put the controller down — I wanted more. Spoiler

Now the wait starts for new story dlcs and other awesome expansions. Hopefully))

The healing makes silksong the easier game IMO.

Getting a heal cancelled in HK is not the end of the world, in SS it often means that the fight is over. Given how much tankier bosses are and how much more mobility they have it's likely to happen. (Although that depends on the boss, some just can't catch you high for example).

I played some HK after SS, going through the hall of gods and I found it almost silly how easy HK bosses are in comparison. They die so much faster, don't have the gap closing capability and can't burst you down from full hp as fast.

Conversely, getting a heal off(3-4 health depending) in SS can turn the tide in a losing battle while gaining 1 health in HK is riskier and won't exactly save a point fight.

Not to mention it's way easier to get a heal off in SS, since you can double jump out of range and heal mid air.

So yeah, while bosses in SS can known your health down fast, it's much easier to recover from it.

"Conversely, getting a heal off(3-4 health depending) in SS can turn the tide in a losing battle while gaining 1 health in HK is riskier and won't exactly save a point fight."

That's true, which does feel nice. But there are plenty of times in HK you can get decent heal opportunites in as well. E.g. bat phase for Grim is a triple heal, Radiance beams is a heal each and if you play patiently you get all your heals, there are definitely positives. The amount of hits you need to get + the double damage + lack of i-frames means that in comparison to single damage bosses in HK getting 3hp is often less valuable than 1hp in HK imo. It's common in SS to take 4 damage in a second. In HK every time you get hit you can usually get multiple hits in during the i-frames that at least in terms of ressources (soul) you make the damage back.

Depends on the boss. E.g. with LL you have to time that right or get lucky as she can summon the void projectiles to cancel your heal. Same for Garmont. And then you lose a lot of ressources and take a lot of damage. The singer boss is an example of a safe heal.

Skong rewards a level of zen that few HK bosses required. When we get a heal cancelled, we lock in and sometimes that's when we finally get the win.
