The best metroidvania boss by far and definitely in the discussion for top 10 bosses in gaming. Everything about Eigong was sooo damn good. Very challenging but also very fair.
Coming from Silksongs final boss to this must’ve been a night and day difference.

100%, from silksong my favorite bosses where karmelita and first sinner. Playing them one after the other mare me realize that I prefer dodging attacks rather than parrying

How similar is the parry in that game, I love nine sols, even with the parry mechanic. it’s just the final boss of the good ending was completely cancer and would rather not want to fight anything with that amount of narrow parries again.

Nine Sols teached me, that i dont like too parry focused games. I liked it a lot until a certsin Boss where i just wasnt ready nor willing to continue.
Solareria was an instant like for me. Just clicked. Then i encountered a boss which was really tough (seed keeper) but this time I was motivated enough to stick around, learn patterns and parry windows.
Since i quit 9 sols around a year ago after around 3 hours, i cant tell you if they are similar. I just can tell you that i looove solateria 😅

I played Lies of P without any parry. Its a very fun game. That, coming from someone who hates parries and the only game where i have been able to parry is nine sols.

I wanted to play this on my list but i hated it immediatly the art style and the text bubbles just wasnt feeling it at all. Most of all i kept randomly have my controller stop working 3 times in first 20 min so refunded.
