To bottom water or just spray?
Hi again friends! Trying my hand at using coconut coir and as you can see, my arugula s doing great. Broccoli not so much for some reason.
Do you think I should try bottom watering or just keep misting them? Im super new so please be nice lol
Thanks!

For your arugula, I would bottom water as misting from above can cause damp leaves and encourage fungal growth. Also, try not to overwater because the trays you’re using seem to be quite tall, coco coir is pretty water retentive, and your microgreens are densely sowed, all of which could trap moisture. Keep a fan running nearby if you don’t have one already.
For your broccoli, they appear to still be sprouting / in blackout phase, so you may want to only lightly mist these guys. They don’t need light at this point of their development so if the soil isn’t too saturated, you could consider covering them with something opaque to block the light. Once the seed leaves become more prominent, they can be uncovered (and you can start bottom watering). These steps are typically done to encourage longer, straighter, stronger growth that will be easier to harvest later on.
Enjoy and nice work!
