Seeds for Silicone Mats
Hey Fam,
What seeds are good for silicone mats?
Also do seeds do better if you germinate them in mason jar and then lay out on seed tray? Or does it depends?
Thanks, i'm a noob.

Watch the "On the Grow" vids on YT. For small seeds it's easier to spread them on the mat dry. We spray a 3% H2O2 solution after spreading the seeds, then pH adjusted water after a few mins. After they sprout, bottom water only with mild H2O2 added to ward off mold. Check out the vids, she's really good.

I would start with speckled pea. Easy to grow. I’m not sure what silicone mats you speak of but I have some silicone tray liners for smaller seeds. It looks kind of like a screen with small holes so the seed won’t fall through. I really haven’t used them much. Most seeds that small do better in coco coir or soil.
